SUMMER SERVICE OPPORTUNITES 2016

Summer in the City uses volunteers at various sites in Detroit all summer- working in schools, painting murals, community gardens. Tues-Fri 8:30AM-2PM June 21-Aug 12. Students carpool from Groves, Bloomfield Township Library or Troy HS- leaving at 9AM sharp. Come as little or often as you like. You must register online before your first day. Go to www.summerinthecity.com Oakland County Parks and Recreation needs volunteers to help at their dog parks, campgrounds, nature centers, golf courses and more www.destinationoakland.com Birmingham Farmer’s Market 8:30AM-11:30am and 11:30am-2:30pm every Sunday. Help is needed at the information/package pick-up table and Kids Arts and Craft table. Register online at www.birminghamfarmersmarket.org or call 248 530-1200. Miracle League of Michigan needs volunteers to help at baseball games for handicapped children in our local area. www.michiganmiracle.org Berkshire Community Garden Help is needed throughout the summer to water, weed & pick vegetables. All the produce will go to a local soup kitchen.
