‘Time to Listen’ Training Netball-specific safeguarding training for Club Safeguarding Officers

What is Time to Listen? Time to Listen (TTL) is a netball-specific workshop using easy to follow, practical examples and case studies. It was designed for England Netball by the Child Protection in Sport Unit (NSPCC) to support Club Safeguarding Officers who have young people in their club under the age of 18. Why attend Time to Listen? Attendance will empower you to fully understand the importance of the Club Safeguarding Officer’s role, how you can effectively safeguard young people in your care and report any concerns. To further increase the quality and best practice of CAPS-accredited clubs, TTL training will soon become mandatory for the CSO. How much does the course cost? Cost to CSOs – £Zero! England Netball pays the costs – you reap the value. What will you learn? The workshop includes the following information: ü What the roles and responsibilities of key people in the safeguarding process are, including your role as Club Safeguarding Officer ü How England Netball supports you, and your club, in safeguarding matters ü How England Netball’s reporting procedure works if you, or someone at your club, has any concern ü What an ‘Aware Club’ is ü How to involve young people and adopt a child-focused approach to safeguarding ü How to develop best practice in your club to protect young people and attract more members ü How government guidance/legislation relates to your role, and England Netball Where can I train?
