Mull V. (1) to Consider; to Ponder. (2) to Add Spice As to Wine Or Cider s1

Mullings Mull v. (1) to consider; to ponder. (2) to add spice as to wine or cider From: Rich Galen To: Usual Suspects Re: It’s Hard to Find a Good Dry Cleaner Today Date: Friday July 31, 1998  More Ugh: It seems Monica may have shipped her dress containing “DNA material” to her mother, Marcia Lewis, for safe keeping. This relationship gets weirder and weirder.  Remember the day Marcia had the vapors at the E. Barrett Prettyman Federal Vaportorium? The DOBs (Defenders of Bill) screamed it was just one more example of over-reaching by that maniacal prosecutor Kenneth Starr badgering Monica’s poor, stooped, gray-haired, elderly mother who took in sewing and washing so her daughter could live at the Watergate apartments in Washington.  Maybe Starr caught Lewis in a lie that day. Under oath. About a dress. Very serious. Sort of like the President lying in a deposition. Under oath. About sex. Meant nothing.  “Mr. President?” “Yes, Betty.” “Barry Scheck on line seven.” “Barrrrrry. How ARE you?”  Has anyone seen any elected Democrat on any television show regarding any aspect of the Clinton/Monica case in the last 48 hours? Why aren’t the crack TV crews in Washington dogging the Vice President? Or chasing the Chairman of the Democratic National Committee? Or how about staking out Dick Gephardt? Ask Democrats what this means to their re-election. If you can find one.  The President is going to testify on August 17th and then, depending upon his answers, leave immediately for vacation at one of two country clubs: Martha’s Vineyard or Allenwood.  Mr. Clinton tried to dodge the original subpoena in the Paula Jones case by citing The Soldiers and Sailors Relief Act which says, in effect, active duty personnel cannot be tangled up in civil suits. He pled: "President Clinton here thus seeks relief similar to that which he may be entitled as Commander- in-Chief of the armed forces and which is routinely available to service members under his command.”  Reuters reported yesterday, “The U.S. military said Wednesday it would maintain its strict limits on social contact between the ranks. . .” Ok, let’s apply the UCMJ to The Commander-in-Chief’s relationship with That Woman which would be “routinely” applied “to service members under his command.” What would be the military equivalent of Bill and Monica? A General and a basic trainee? Chest out, chin back, there soldier.  Uh, oh: The Democrats on the House Judiciary Committee have, according to Laurie Kellman’s AP story, begun to staff up for an impeachment hearing. This, after months of jumping up and down shouting that any mention of impeachment was politically motivated.  My very excellent assistant, Kelly Owens, who has two degrees – one in Advanced Experimental Theoretical Quantum Physics and the other in Art History – pointed out Wednesday that, statistically speaking, you had just about the same chance of winning the Powerball Lottery if you DIDN’T buy a ticket as you had if you DID buy a ticket. You can’t lose if you don’t play.  Buffalo Bob Smith died yesterday. Bob Smith and Howdy, too; Say Howdy Do to you. Come in for dinner, Rich. G’night, Buffalo Bob. Drat. -- END --
