In order to help you with credit checks and course selection, the courses that count for graduation requirements are listed below. For students with an IEP, please speak with your case manager regarding IEP classes and graduation requirements.
Communication Arts: 4.0 credits
9th Grade: CA 9 or Honors CA 9 10th Grade: English Language Arts 10 or Honors English Language Arts 10 11th Grade: English Language Arts 11 or AP Language & Composition 12th Grade: English Language Arts 12 or AP Literature and Composition
Social Studies: 3.0 credits
9th Grade: Economics 10th Grade: World History or AP World History 11th Grade: US Studies or AP US Studies 12th Grade: Civics or AP Government & Politics
Science: 2.0 credits
9th Grade: Physical Science 10th Grade: Biology Students typically receive their science credits through Physical Science and Biology. The following courses may also count for science credit: Earth Science, Environmental Science, Zoology, Marine Biology, Anatomy & Physiology, Chemistry, Physics, AP Biology, AP Chemistry, AP Physics, Health Sciences 2
Math: 3.0 credits

Occupational Education/Career & Technical Education: 1 credit (Course Codes beginning with CT). All courses listed in the Career/Technical Education section of the course description book count toward the Occupational Education credit.
Career Education=0.5 credit and Culminating Project=0.5 credit Students must complete their Portfolio and Student Led Conferences through Careers class in grades 9-12. Students must pass each semester during 9-12 grades. 0.125 credit is awarded for each semester passed.
Electives: 5 credits Any classes listed in the course description book may count toward elective credit. Students may not count a class in more than one credit area, however, there are some Career and Technical Education courses which may be used to meet two graduation requirements. For example, Health Science I may count toward Career and Technical Education and Health and Fitness.
