Who Really Cares Anyway Project Name: Okay. So we learned all this "stuff" about cells and cell membranes, but WHO REALLY CARES ANYWAY?!?!? All of this is meaningless drivel unless it has some direct affect on our lives. Research an area in cytology that interests you or has the potential to interest you. Create a short, but thorough and well-researched presentation that demonstrates how the cell theory we learned in class is applied in the "real world". Make sure you "talk the talk" and use the cell terminology that we used in class. You can make a PowerPoint presentation, poster presentation, interactive model or a presentation of your own design. Be prepared to present your research for 2-4 minutes to the class. Your project should demonstrate that you understand the following performance objectives: SB1. Students will analyze the nature of the relationships between structures and functions in living cells. a. Explain the role of cell organelles for both prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells, including the cell membrane, in maintaining homeostasis and cell reproduction.
You will be graded on the following criteria: (Please attach this checklist to your project). Late projects are assessed 10% per day.
