SUMMARY: Performs warehouse responsibilities, processes and delivers office products and wholesale furniture for client, also receives product, puts product on the shelves and packages orders, and other duties as assigned.

SALES AND SERVICE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Weekly identify at least 2 customers and write a personal thank you note, include a small gift and your business card with the note.

Insure all products are dusted and in saleable condition before they are packed in a customer’s order.

Identify products which we are out of stock on a regular basis and communicate this to the purchaser so the stocking levels can be adjusted.

Maintain professional physical appearance, which is defined as:  Hair groomed  Groomed facial hair  Wear approved company provided shirts and pants  Clothes should cleaned  No odor of smoking on your clothes or breath

Identify at least 1 customer each month that we are not selling a category of products to based on the picking of the daily orders and generate a lead for the sales team.

TRAINING NEEDED:

Successfully complete training on “Developing The Sales Attitude”.

Successfully complete training on the product categories that the company sells and how to identify those opportunities when you are at a customer location.

Successfully complete training on the proper way to handle customer service issues that arise – specifically authority to address the issue, where to take an issue for resolution and follow responsibility with the customer.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Complete weekly cycle counts of the designated areas of the warehouse.

Insure that the weekly warehouse review is completed and the warehouse is maintained in an organized fashion.

Receive product shipment and place checked in product on to shelves.

Pick supplies from shelves and package the orders for delivery.

Read tickets to determine items to be pulled, packed and distributed to clients; merge with wholesale products.

Separate and prepare all orders for delivery. Read highlighted lines and follow instructions.

Apply Shipping label in appropriate location on empty carton.

Inspect complete order for quality. Prepare necessary documentation for shipment, i.e., packing list.

Load delivery van in a safe manner that establishes an efficient delivery route.

Make punctual and courteous deliveries to customers, collect signatures or money on cod orders. Establish a good working relationship with our customer base.

Pick up returns from customers according to return tickets and process merchandise and paperwork according to procedure. Pick up cartridges for recycling.

Pick up orders from local vendors and return them to the warehouse for receiving.

Maintain a good driving record, such that the employee can be insured under the Company’s insurance policies.

Keep vehicles clean.

Reports vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations or damage to vehicles as required per Company policies and procedures.

Participate in all safety programs; perform all tasks in a safe manner.

Ability to prepare manifests delivery tickets within the DDMS system.

Ability to use Point of Delivery equipment to process deliveries with customers.

Will be responsible for becoming certified to operate power equipment.

Assembles orders for pickup or for loading on delivery truck.

Run required equipment in a safe and controlled manner.

Perform all tasks in a safe manner, following all safety rules and guidelines.

Maintain a clean and organized work area and assist with housekeeping.

Supports Company/facility initiatives in daily actions and decisions.

QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Two years experience is preferred.

LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, receiving reports, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write simple correspondence; to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent, and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY Ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS Ability to communicate with customers in a friendly, professional manner, on a daily basis.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Montana driver’s license, copy of a current driving record.
