8th Annual Service-Learning Directors’ Retreat California State University August 8-10, 2007
RETREAT OUTCOMES By the end of the Retreat, we hope participants will: 1. Have reflected on and learned from their colleagues about why they do this work. 2. Feel relaxed, energized, and grounded as they prepare for the fall. 3. Be grounded in the core values and motivations that guide their work. 4. Have envisioned the next year and what they hope to accomplish, learned about their colleague’s visions. 5. Have identified common themes as well as unique assets and challenges across the campuses in their one year plans. 6. Have given and received support from their colleagues for where they are going in the next year 7. Have strengthened relationships among and therefore strengthened the community of CSU CSL Directors.
Wednesday, August 8 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm Check-in, Welcome, Overview Hilton Costa Mesa Balboa Bay 1, B-2 Level Community Building Circle Facilitated by Merri and Rich
6:00 pm – 8:00 pm Group Dinner Z’Tejas located @ South Coast Plaza Meet in hotel lobby at 5:50 p.m.
Transportation Information: We will carpool.
A special shuttle for our group will be available to the restaurant (more information will be shared at the Retreat). The last shuttle will leave South Coast Plaza at 8:30 pm.

II. Not-So New Directors’ Conversation (Dealing with burn-out, Generate ideas for Surdna grant). Balboa Bay 1 Facilitated by Rich and Jeannie
III. The Others’ Conversation (If the other two sessions don’t apply or you are not interested, come to this group). TBD Facilitated by Season
