Internists, surgeons, and other interested physicians are encouraged to attend. Educational Objectives: At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to: Describe the current status of 3D echocardiography (TTE, TEE, ICE) Explain 3D modalities (real time, wide angle mode, gated acquisition) and list strengths and weakness of each Explain the role of 3D cardiac applications for estimating LV volume and LVEF and how it compares to other methods (CMR) Describe the pivotal role of 3D cardiac applications in structural heart disease and percutaneous transcatheter therapies List current challenges for routine implementation in clinical practice Case Review: Please feel welcome to bring informal cases either on videotape or CD, even if they are not edited, particularly if they are likely to generate discussion.
