Combining a background in academia, EMS, fire, and nursing, she brings a depth of experiences. She is active in the Pennsylvania Emergency Health Services Council; American Heart Association; Delaware County, Pennsylvania, Critical Incident Stress Management Team; SEPA Special Medical Response Team; and Pennsylvania Disaster Medical Assistance Team 4. Dr. Bail serves as the Infection Control Designated Officer for her local fire company, and she has participated as a research assistant to an American College of Emergency Physicians/Department of Homeland Security project on Community Healthcare Disaster Preparedness Assessment.

Philadelphia University began the Disaster Medicine and Management Master’s degree program in August 2006 and continues to build an exciting curriculum and student mix. The program is growing and the more opportunities that arise for collaboration and interaction with other academics and professional organizations, the better! Dr. Bail is excited about the International Association of Emergency Managers Student Chapter and is looking forward to meeting everyone and joining the network of professionals from across the country with related interests. Ideas for online interactive delivery tools, team teaching in the online environment, and disaster research opportunities are areas she hopes to network about during this time. She also wants to discuss creating more opportunities for universities with similar interests to meet and discuss issues.
