August Learning Target for 7Th Grade

AUGUST LEARNING TARGET FOR 7TH GRADE

Student Learning Targets Week #1: August 3rd and 4th, 2017:

 I have read and understand the classroom policies and procedures for the Business & Computer Science Class I.  I will attend the school assembly and listen to all briefings.  I can name and describe many of the technology rules and responsibilities.  I have read and reviewed the class letter and syllabus with my family.

Learning Targets Week #2: August 7th - 11th, 2017:

 I understand to use the Problem Solving steps to develop a plan with a peer.  I have completed pages 4 -16 in my Junior Achievement Finance Park workbook.  I have answered the Learning Target question about gross and net income in the Google Classroom.  I can log into my station's computer and my Gmail account without assistance.  I understand how to take a "screenshot" and I know how to post it in the Google Classroom.  I can use my own words (supported by spell-check or a dictionary) and write a blog comment that relates to my CS Discovery class and I can post and submit it on my teacher's webpage.  I understand how to log into Google Classroom and submit or un-submit an assignment for grading.  I understand how to sign into my school Gmail email account and compose an email while sending an attachment.

Student Learning Targets Week #3: August 14th - 18th, 2017:

 I understand how to problem solve and work with a peer on an assignment.  I understand how to answer and submit a survey in JA Finance Park.  I understand how to create and use my Code.org account.  I understand how to answer a Learning Target question posted in the Google Classroom.  I am aware that I have my first test on 8/18/17 (Friday).  I am also aware that I have to read for twenty minutes every other Friday in Mrs. Watson’s class.

Student Learning Targets Week #4: August 21st - 25th, 2017:

 There will be NO SCHOOL on Monday (8/21/17).  I will have my first vocabulary quiz on Friday (8/25/17).

Student Learning Targets Week #5: August 28th - Sept 1st, 2017:

 I am aware that I have my 2nd test on 9/1/17 (Friday).

Student Learning Targets Week #6:

 There will be NO SCHOOL on Monday (9/4/17), due to “Labor Day.”
