5. The contracting party agrees to the Xantic service, tariffs and payment conditions related to this service. Applicable to this request and the possible contract emerging of it, are the "Xantic General Terms & Conditions for Airtime and Value Added Services End-User Agreement” attached to the “Xantic Airtime and Value Added Services End-User Agreement”. If you are a new customer, please request a copy of this Agreement from our Customer Service Centre ([email protected]) and return it signed by fax/ post.

General Registration as an Inmarsat user with Xantic offers you the opportunity to communicate directly between your office and mobile C-terminals in the AOR-East, AOR-West, IOR and the POR via Xantic. This communication is independent of the routing offered by your national telecommunications authority(ies). Once approved, this application form will qualify the applicant to communicate from a fixed location to mobile C-terminals.

Xantic reserves the right to perform a preliminary financial check if deemed necessary. Xantic charges no administrative handling fees. The registered customer will receive a specified bill monthly. Following the approval of the application the registered customer will receive a USERNAME and a PASSWORD which will identify the registered user as an officially registered member with Xantic. Customers will only have access to those services for which they are registered.

Service Description

 Inmarsat-C FleetNET (Enhanced Group Call = EGC broadcast) A broadcasting service for messaging to a predetermined group of mobile Inmarsat-C terminals. The messages can be up to 32 kilobytes long.

 ENID: enhance group call network identification number Only mobiles having this ENID can receive the broadcasts originated by the ENID owner. The ENID must be downloaded by Xantic to each mobile terminal part of the fleet. We kindly ask you to make sure that the terminals are logged-in when we proceed to the download. You will be notified when the down-loading has been completed. You can download your ENID yourself if you decide to user SatCAST or to send your EGCs via e-mail (Xantic’s C-email SAT.400). Xantic provides up to 20 ENIDs per Username. Up to 256 mobile ID’s can be associated to each ENID.

 Inmarsat-C FleetNET (Enhanced Group Call = EGC broadcast) via email You can send your EGCs from your email address(es). Addresses used to send EGCs will be registered in our C-email (Sat400) service as one group.

 Inmarsat-C Communication and messaging via Two-stage-access Registration for Inmarsat-C FleetNET will also automatically authorize you to send single messages to your mobile C- terminals in the AOR-E , AOR-W , IOR and POR, using the terrestrial network of your local telecom provider up to Xantic, and then the Xantic satellite service to the mobile C-terminals (you receive a separate bill from Xantic for the satellite communication at convenient fees).

 Inmarsat-C software SAT.CAST SAT.CAST is a Xantic software specially developed to use the FleetNETservice in a more convenient way. Among other things, this software enables the user to download the ENIDS to the mobile terminals him/herself. For SAT.CAST no initial fee and set-up fee applies. The cost of software package is USD 400.-.

 FleetNET charges No registration fees apply to this service. No periodical subcription fee is charged. No charges apply to the issue of Usernames (ex. PIN for customers of former Telstra Satellite Services) and Passwords.

Charges for FleetNET EGC broadcasts are per 256 bits and per ocean region, expressed in US dollars (USD). Australian customers will be billed in Australian dollars (AUD). For information about charges please visit www.xantic.net or contact your Sales Manager or Xantic Customer Services.
