Scholarship Opportunity from Boise Choristers

Boise Choristers, a community women’s choral group, will award scholarships in the amount of $1000 each to four serious music students currently enrolled in a Boise School District or West Ada School District High School.

This is a great opportunity for a talented senior student that plans to major in music and enter a music career.

Each student must be a graduating senior in 2016 and planning to attend a college or university full time as a Music Major. Home schooled students are eligible if taking a class at the high school. Students interested in a scholarship should complete the attached application and mail it to: Christine Guymon, Chorister President,10457 West Summerwind Drive, Boise, ID, 83704. Application deadline is February 9, 2016.

Auditions will take place by appointment in February. You will be notified of your audition time and place or contact Christine Guymon, 322-2895 to schedule an audition. Students should come to the audition prepared to perform a student-selected piece memorized. Students must also bring to the audition a copy of the completed application and a resume.

The scholarship will not necessarily be based on need but shall be awarded to a student who: 1. Has a G.P.A. of 3.0 or above

2. Agrees to participate at the Boise Choristers annual Spring Concert in May with the following requirements:

MUST attend the dress rehearsal. Concert piece will be less than 3 minutes in length. Boise Choristers music director will coordinate music selection. Concert music must be memorized. For more information contact Christine Guymon at 322-2895.
