Supplies You Must Have

Ancient History: Grade 7 Mr. Howman Supplies you must have: . Composition notebook . 3-ring binder (1½ or 2 inches) . Pens and pencils . Book cover (an old school brown paper bag is still the best book cover out there and it’s free) . Folder with pockets

Supplies you might need : . Your own white out~ don’t be one of those people that mooches off other people’s whiteout…if you use it, bring it. . Highlighters are very handy for organizing information when we do a reading in class.

Bring to class…everyday: . Textbook (they are not that heavy to carry around) . Composition Notebook . 3-Ring Binder (this may stay in class if you don’t need what’s in it to study) . SOMETHING TO WRITE WITH…don’t rely on class supply bins or your next desk neighbor

Assessing what you have learned (that’s the fancy way for saying “how you will be graded”): . Newsflash: you WILL have to study. There will likely be a short 10 question quiz after each chapter in the book. Then at the end of each unit there will be a written test. . Tests, quizzes, projects, notebook, class assignments, and homework will combine to make up your overall grade. o Grade breakdown . 50% Tests/Projects/Notebook . 50% Quizzes/Class assignments/Homework

All students are assigned a textbook. You are responsible for any damage to the book- do not write, highlight, spill anything, or let your dog relieve himself on the book unless you would like to own a 7th grade Ancient History book at the end of the year. I’m going to go out on a limb here, but I think there are better ways to spend your hard earned $50.

Your textbook number is ______

Do not try to pull a fast one on me and return someone else’s book~ you will be caught and persecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
