The Surgery doors will be locked and only patients with booked appointments will be permitted to enter by ringing the intercom on the surgery sliding door at side entrance which faces east.

Patient Reference Group

At the practice we wish to receive the views of patients in how your experience with our services has been. What don’t you like? What do you like? What do you think should be changed or improved upon? You as a patient can have a say.  So how do I join the Patient Reference Group? o If you have internet access go to the surgery website at www.rushbottomlane.co.uk/ , then enter either Drs Hiscock & Partners or Drs Patel & Partners practice depending on which G.P. you are registered with. Complete a patient group sign-up form online. o If you don’t have internet access, pop a note in to reception with your name, DOB, and registered G.P. marking up as Patient Reference Group.  What will happen if I join the Patient Reference Group? o We will send surveys from time to time about our services. The results of the surveys will then be made available. o You will be invited to attend a “patient group” meeting at the practice which will meet at least 4 times a year. A G.P. partner will be present as well as the Practice Manager.

NHS Health Check’s

Helping to PREVENT you develop Heart disease, Stroke, Diabetes, Kidney disease and Hypertension. This assessment is available at the surgery is part of a national scheme to help prevent the onset of the above problems.

If you are aged between 40 and 75 and you have not already been diagnosed with any of the above conditions you are eligible for the health check They are performed by our practice nurse or health care assistant. You will need to have a cholesterol blood test first. If you are interested ask at reception about the NHS health checks
