Ebbs Flower Parade – August 25th to 28th, 2016

The Flower Parade in Ebbs is a tradition: it is being held for the 19th time from August 25th to 28th, 2016. In 2016 the founders have put together an especially exciting program, and are bringing a true star of folk music to Ebbs in the Kaiser Mountains.

Flower Parade open air - Hansi Hinterseer with Original Tiroler Echo For over 20 years the charismatic pop star Hansi Hinterseer has been exciting his fans with upbeat songs about the mountains, his homeland of Tyrol and love. As part of the 19th Flower Parade Ebbs, Hansi Hinterseer will be making a guest performance with Original Tiroler Echo on Friday 26 August, 2016, near the majestic Kaiser Mountains, and will give one of his open air concerts at the Flower World Hödnerhof. Advance booking starts on June 22nd, 2015.

New: Pop music day in the fortress city of Kufstein It gets musical at the Flower Parade Ebbs in the nearby and often celebrated Kufstein, on the green Inn River: On the 27th of August the new Schlager (hit music from the 1970s and 1980s) day is being celebrated there, with music by Zellberg Buam, Sigrid und Marina, Melissa Naschenweng and other local groups.

Ebbs dedicated to flowers For the traditional Flower Parade on Sunday 28 August, 2016, around 40 floats adorned with flowers will move through the town centre from 1:00 to 3:30 pm, and impress viewers of all ages. The flower floats will be accompanied by music groups from the region. A highlight at the end of the parade is the traditional awarding of a prize for the most beautiful float, accompanied by music and a varied supporting programme, at the Flower World Hödnerhof in Ebbs. The Flower Parade on 28th August is free to view.

ALPINE FLOWER FESTIVAL Ebbs Time: 10:30 am – 3:30 pm A colourful Alpine meadow day with herb walks, a small children's programme and an introduction to beekeeping is the start of the flower-filled parade week. Tyrolean tradition with Plattler (shoe slapping) dance and live music round off the programme.

VILLAGE EVENING in the Ebbs village centre Time: from 8:00 pm Ebbs associations organise an evening in the Ebbs village centre. Culinary delicacies and an appearance by the Bundesmusikkapelle band are the focus of this evening in the Haflinger village.

FLOWER CARPET at the Flower Word Hödnerhof Ebbs Time: 09:00 am – 6:00 pm The largest flower carpet in Austria, a 30 x 20 meter flower canvas with over 20,000 flowering plants, can be admired here. The flower carpet can be viewed from 08.08.2016 (daily)

Flower Sticking Party at Hödnerhof Ebbs Time: from 9:00 am The floats are decorated the day before the large parade. In the large hall, and surrounded by thousands of flowers, are the numerous helpers who conjure up the fantastic figures with plenty of love and patience.

NEW! SCHLAGER DAY in the centre of Kufstein Time: 4:00 - 10:00 pm The fortress city of Kufstein focuses on pop music with groups like Zellberg Buam, Sigrid und Marina, and Melissa Naschenweng, alongside two local bands.
