Class Project La nourriture: Food

You will be given a list of words, verbs and expressions by your teacher. You will be working on a French-English picture glossary.

A glossary is an alphabetical list of terms or words found in or relating to a specific subject, text, or dialect, with explanations. It is like a brief dictionary.

Your glossary entries must appear alphabetically and each entry should include: type of word (noun, adjective, adverb, verb or expression), gender (masculine or feminine- in the case of nouns), a picture illustrating the word, and a context.

A context refers to the circumstances that form the setting for an event, statement, or idea, and in terms of which it can be fully understood and assessed.

In the case of nouns, adjectives and adverbs, you should provide the reader of your glossary with a sentence where that word is being used; for the verbs, you must include the conjugation of such verb; and for the expressions, you have to write a dialogue in which that expression is used. Bear in mind that each context must also be translated in both languages.

Each entry of your glossary must have a picture to give a better idea of what the word means visually.

This glossary project is worth two test grades. Here is an example:
