Hello Fellow Addicts,
Tom and I are planning on facilitating one workshop next month for each of the areas in the Region to report on happenings at the World this past spring. Please keep an eye open for when and where each will take place. I would like to thank the Region for allowing me to serve as a delegate for the Region for the past eight years. This has been one of the longest commitments in my life, for sure service wise. I have learned so much about NA and have enjoyed my time greatly. I believe that when I want to learn about something, such as NA, it is a sign that I love it; I know I love NA. All I can say is thank you for allowing me to learn so much, I am forever grateful for serving in these positions. I believe that there is a constant change happening in NA services. We first took step on this specific course in the late 1990’s by changing the service structure at the World level. This change has continued to effect and change NA, regardless of individual’s thoughts and feelings, all the way to local NA services. I believe that we need to learn how to wrap our arms around this change, if we don’t we will be doing a major disservice to the addicts in our Region. I think we as a Region or as a RD Team need to figure the path that we want our Region to be on. I feel that all so often addicts who have some sense of the happenings at the world level and other levels believe there are always only two options; black and white, do or don’t, yes or no; I don’t think this is always the case. I believe that our Region needs to begin thinking outside the box. We need to find a general idea of where we want to go and we need to march together toward that direction with the understanding of the need to be open to any adjustments need to be made. I hope and believe that we all can find a mutually agreed upon vision for the Upper Midwest Region of Narcotics Anonymous. Once again, I can never thank you all enough for the opportunities of services. In Grateful Service,
Jeremy T. Regional Delegate Upper Midwest Region of NA
Web Resource Chair: Richard B. (acting) 2016-4th Quarter Web Resource Chair

Joe M. Regional Activities Chair Upper Midwest Region of NA
Fellowship Development Chair: Wes K. 2016 – 4th Quarter FDC
Hello Trusted Servants,
I will not be in attendance for this meeting as I have to work this weekend. This will be my last report as the position is open and nominations are as well. I am no longer willing to fulfill the duties as chairperson of the FDC. I have on hand two binders containing all needed supplies for the FDC chairperson and secretary. I have exhausted all extra literature and given it to the PI committee of LAASC for use at its recent community meeting. I do not have any group starter kits on hand as they have all been given away – awesome BTW. Our regional treasurer has ordered one more kit that was requested by a new meeting. He is having an issue with retaining a bank card to make the order for five starter kits to keep on hand for the next chairperson, this issue will be resolved shortly. I would like to submit the same budget that was recently approved, I believe that the treasurer or the past treasurer can supply the exact numbers and details. This would expatiate the process for the incoming committee in it's future endeavors. I am willing to help out and be a part of the committee in the future and mentor the next chairperson.

The community outreach event went well. The turn out was as many as hoped for but the response was strong. The fall banquet was well attended and ran smoothly. We have several spots filled in our service body. Our chair, activities chair, PR chair and parliamentarian all filled but we are in need of an H & I chair. The multi zonal service symposium was a wonderful event. I went to several workshops and learned a lot. in loving service,
Evan J. LAASC RCM Upper Midwest Region of NA

I have and will continue to attend zonal forums to gather useful resources for this position.

Yes.
Please include any other information you consider relevant.
I don’t know how to answer any of these questions accurately, I just know I have committed to this position with my heart. I’ve talked with my sponsor and she supports me. I have been to three different zonal forums in trying to prepare myself, educate myself and to try and connect with as many people and resources, because I can’t do any of this on my own; but with the help of others I know I can.

Willingness to Serve I understand that communication and accountability are two major components that show the extent of a person’s willingness to serve. Therefore, I have found that by applying the 12 Steps, the 12 Traditions, and the 12 Concepts of Narcotics Anonymous to my service work to the best of my ability, I can practice sufficient communication and accountability.
Recovery Program I have been working the 12 Steps of Narcotics Anonymous with a sponsor for all of my time in recovery. My meeting attendance has been averaging 3 meetings a week since I had 90 days clean. I have been able to apply the spiritual principles of the 12 Steps on a daily basis in my affairs in society, with my family, and at my job.
