ORGANIZATIONS:
Join Debate! We meet every Monday from 3:30 - 6:00 pm in the ARC. We meet all of semester 1.
For all French Club Members: Please join us for GAME NIGHT after school on Monday, October 20th in 324!
Art Club will be meeting in room 420 at 3:20 pm every Tuesday.
Reminder the Culinary arts Competition teams are meeting in room 418 at 3:25 on Tuesdays.
SEA Club will now meet on Tuesdays after school. Please plan to meet tomorrow 10/7 at 3:25 pm in room 164B.
Yearbook will be meeting on Wednesday after school in room 103.
Knitting Club - Meets Wednesdays at 3:30 in the Career Center. See Mrs. Uvaas with any questions.

Heart Group Halloween Party will be Thursday Oct. 23rd after school in room 404. Come for a movie and good treats.

______GENERAL:
The entrances to the Library Media Center by the Sky Lab Commons will be locked beginning Monday, October 20. The new entrance and exit for the library will be the doors leading out to the Mercury Commons.
Be sure to attend the Musical, Footloose, this weekend. Shows are at 7:00 pm on Friday and Saturday nights.
Celebrate My Drive hits the road and Neenah High School needs your commitment to safe driving to get to the winner’s circle! Our school could win $100,000 and an amazing concert from The Band Perry! Monday October 20th through Friday October 24th - before and after school the Dance team will be having a bake sale to raise money for new uniforms.
Dance team tryouts will be held Monday November 3rd - Thursday November 6th from 4 until 6pm. An informational meeting will be held Wednesday October 29th at 3:30pm in room 310. If they have any questions they can ask me in room 310. Register for the 5k Color Run/Rocket Run – November 15th – by signing up at door 3!
NHS Helping Hands Art and Craft Fair - Saturday November 1st. We really need volunteers to make this run well, especially 6:00 am - 8:45 am, to help vendors bring things in from their cars and from 3 pm- 4:40pm for tear-down. E-mail Mrs. Aaholm to get yourself on the list!!!
Do you like to play basketball? Join YNBA Basketball! Games are played on Saturday mornings in January and February. Cost is $45 or $70 per player. Information is available in the main office.
Attention Students: Anyone interested in mentoring an elementary or middle school student on Mondays after school should pick up an application on Mrs. Nass’s desk in the activities office. The program is held at Neenah High on Mondays from 3:30-4:30 pm starting in November!

Attention Seniors! If you want to put a Senior Picture, a picture of yourself with your pet, or a picture of yourself with childhood friends in the yearbook, those pictures must be submitted by October 31! If you have questions, see Mrs. Walter in the main office.
______CONGRATULATIONS:
The Neenah Football Team clinched its first WIAA playoff berth since 2006! Neenah now will host its first WIAA football playoff game since 2006 on Friday night against Wausau West! TICKET INFORMATION: Pre-sale tickets will be available Tuesday 5 – 7 pm in room 321, and Weds. And Thurs. from 8 – 3 in the main office, and Friday 8 – 12 in the main office. All tickets cost $4.00.
The Girls tennis Team captured their third straight sectional championship! This weekend, Neenah will be back in Madison to compete at the state team tournament, opening with a quarterfinal match Friday night against Badger. The undefeated Rockets are attempting to become the first school outside of Madison or Milwaukee to win the state title in the tournament’s 44-year history.
Neenah concluded the FVA regular season with a 3-0 win over Kaukauna to place second in the conference standings, finishing one match behind Kimberly. Neenah will open WIAA Regional play at home on Saturday as the second seed, facing the winner of seventh-seeded Hartford and 10th- seeded Beaver Dam.

There was a Special Olympics Bowling Regional Tournament on Sunday October 19th. Nine bowlers competed at Sabre Lanes in Menasha and four bowlers competed at Superbowl in Appleton. If an athlete finished 1st, 2nd or 3rd, they advance to Sectionals in Green Bay. We had six athletes advance: Chris Jones, Delaney Russell, Ben Johnson, Brad Wendler, Brittany Wendler, Jonah Tillman. Activity Passes do not work for a sporting event once the team is into postseason play. To get into an event that is in Regionals or beyond, WIAA sets the price for tickets. Students and adult tickets cost $4.00 each.
