Company Description: North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) is a state government agency. The NCDOT depends heavily upon civil engineers to plan, design and construct a safe, efficient highway system for North Carolina citizens and the traveling public. NCDOT engineers have the satisfaction of contributing to North Carolina's progress. We need top engineers who will continue a tradition that has made North Carolina a leader in designing and building quality roads.
Duties & Responsibilities: The Summer Engineering Assistants Program is a summer internship program for civil engineering students. Students learn about the work performed at NCDOT and gain valuable experience that counts toward eligibility for permanent employment. Job locations depend on the availability and location of current construction projects, job requirements, and the student's needs and interests. Work session is from May through August. NCDOT has positions statewide.
Qualifications: Civil engineering student. U.S. Citizen. Completed at least 24 semester hours. Submit a state application (PD107) and current unofficial transcript, no later than April 1.
