Classroom Rules 2016-2017
Mrs. Reid ART DEPARTMENT
Attend class on time. Be in the art room or check-in with the teacher by the time the bell rings.
Treat yourself and all others with respect and common courtesy.
Be aware of safety at all times. All book bags need to be under the desk and out of the aisles, clear from foot traffic.
Handle all art room property and tools with care and caution.
The use of appropriate language is always expected. Absolutely no swearing or inappropriate language is allowed.
This classroom is always free from verbal and physical conflict.
Pay attention and LISTEN QUIETLY when you are receiving instructions. Good listening skills are essential. All electronic devices should not be in use during instructional time and art demonstrations.
When I am not instructing to the entire class, you may be allowed to listen to music quietly through your own earbuds while you are working. If I can hear your music, it’s too loud for your hearing and I will tell you to turn it down. Please do not sing out loud while you are listening to music. If you love to sing, JOIN CHOIR!!
Don’t let your electronic device distract you from class….Keep your focus!!!
Your personal property is your responsibility to monitor. Never leave anything of value unattended such as on your desk when you get up to put a supply away or wash your hands. Keep all electronic devices and their accessories, to yourselves. It’s a good thing to be discreet.
There is no audio/visual recording allowed in my class of other students or of any teachers. You do not have permission!
Give respect and you will earn respect!
All artwork must be school appropriate which means no images or symbols that use or relate to alcohol, drugs, gangs and/or weapons.
Act like an adult and you will be treated like an adult...... GUARANTEED!!
