Latest TV would like you to research and produce a short (2-3 min) film to be broadcast on Latest TV. Choose one of these: 1. A news item of local interest to be shown on the news. 2. A film about entertainment in Brighton to be part of the Brighton Lights programme. 3. A themed film / trailer to be shown on “You make it we show it”.

Who we are Latest TV is Brighton's new local TV station broadcasting on Freeview Channel 8 and Virgin Media 159. It launched on 28 August 2014 and holds the exclusive licence for local TV in the area for the next 12 years. Latest TV covers local news, sport, what's on, comedy, property, cookery, crime and current affairs programmes. In addition Latest TV broadcasts all local content from across the city and Greater Brighton area. What we want For you to produce a short (2-3 min) film, from one of the above subjects, to be broadcast on Latest TV. Films should be informative and entertaining; appealing to the local Latest TV audience.

A good deal of work in the digital media industries, especially in the case of small to medium size companies and freelancers, is done to a brief for a client. It is, therefore, vital for you to understand the requirements of working to a brief, whether one negotiated by a company or individual with a client, or one set as a competition
