9) Vs. 16 – Basis of faith in His name for healing (a) Who’s faith? – Not the lame man’s  Mar 11:24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.  The context is Peter pointing out the withered fig.  The audience is the disciples.  Mat 17:19-20 - Then came the disciples to Jesus apart, and said, Why could not we cast him out? And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.  Context is disciples unable to cast out demon  Audience is the disciples.

(b) The faith of the apostles in Christ cause Christ to allow the Lame man to walk.  Prior, the apostles had weak faith.  They even asked for strengthened faith in  We too should remember to ask in faith: Jas 1:5-16 - But if any of you lacketh wisdom, let him ask of God, who giveth to all liberally and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. But let him ask in faith, nothing doubting: for he that doubteth is like the surge of the sea driven by the wind and tossed.

10) Vs. 17 – Ignorance – which did not absolve them of guilt (a) However, here is why you should believe  He fulfilled prophecy

(c) You should repent – Action is required  You cannot just say, “Christ be mine!”  “Times of Refreshing” –
