Group 1 The Buddies This group is trying to develop a framework, which can support communication between devices. A script that contains description of resources or service logic can be used on the central server in an autonomous system. This system on reading the script should be able to control the devices.

Group 2 Sell Smart This group aims at developing a software using which a person walking in the parking lot can access information about the availability of the desired car. The group wants to develop a platform independent interface, which can communicate with different companies that offer services using various technologies. This group wants to learn interfacing with different platforms like MSMQ, Corba and EJB.

Group 3 Adaptive Learning Class Assistant This group aims at developing an adaptive web based software which can be used to make tutorials, maintain scores, conduct exams, provide feedback, etc. Both students and teachers have their own profiles. Adaptive quizzing, score tracking, tutorials etc are some of the highlights for the project.

Group 4 Pervasive Information Everywhere (PIE) This group uses the concept of pervasive computing to make user available with his files wherever he goes. In this case the user does not have to remember where he has placed the files except the name of the file. They want to implement intelligent caching i.e. files are made available even if the system is not available, or only few files are available based on need. They also implement delay delete where files can be retrieved under some restrictions even if the user deletes a file.

Group 6 Sleek Flow This group uses a work flow model to automate applications thereby removing latency. The team gave an example of timesheets and reservation system that can be automated to avoid delay. Using this concept the administrator can develop an automatic work flow model that may use web service or middleware technology.

Group 7: Open Bookshelf This group aims at developing a P2P based online book rental system. Here a user can automatically rent books. When a user requests for some book, the request is automatically forwarded to the UPS system that ships the book. This system can handle both electronic and physical books. This want to implement parallel downloading concept over P2P where a user can upload/download material parallely.
