Nets Safety Policy
Nets used for ARRANGED practice Sessions
For the safety of our members the Committee has laid down the following procedures:
The sessions must be conducted under the supervision of a suitably qualified coach.
When batting facing a hard ball the proper protective items, including helmet, MUST be worn
When preparing to bat the player must change in an appropriate place well away from the nets
When waiting to bowl the player must pay particular attention to the ball being hit by the batsman and should always face the batsman
When picking a ball out of the net the player should use a bat to push the net backwards before picking the ball out
Before practice commences the coach will check the cage and netting to ensure a safe environment and take remedial action where necessary
Any equipment, including kit bags to be stored away from the net
All players using the net practice must behave in a proper and correct manner
After each practice session the equipment MUST be stored away properly. Kineton Sports and Social Cricket Club
