Thank you so much for you interest in Theatre Playgroup. It’s been an exciting journey this far working with NTW Team and WMC to put this project together, and it’s only going to get better when you get involved and we work together over the 6 weeks!

The idea of the group came about as an opportunity for us ‘creative types’ to get together, meet new people, develop our skills and knowledge and have fun whilst doing it!

We begin on the 21st August and the sessions run over 6 weeks. Everyone is invited, all we ask is that you fill in the above form and return it so we have an idea of who will be coming 

Where?

The sessions are being held at

Wales Millennium Centre, Bute Place, Cardiff Bay, CF10 5AL

For the first session please head to the SELIGMAN ROOM which is on Level 2 at the front of the building. There will be plenty of WMC staff to point you in the right direction!

The sessions take place on a Thursday evening , from 6.30 – 8.30pm. The first session is on Thursday 21 st August.

What will we be exploring?

On the group page, on the NTW community, I asked what people would like to explore and there was a resounding call for ‘Pinter’.

The first sessions will be based on Harold Pinter’s ‘Betrayal’, one of Pinter’s major dramatic works, published in 1978 which was inspired by his own affair with TV presenter Joan Bakewell.

What do I need to bring?

Refreshments and scripts will be provided by NTW TEAM, you might like to bring something to make notes on (i.e. pad and paper or tablet and possibly a laptop for writers in week 3 & 4), but apart from that just you and your enthusiasm!
