Dear Parent/Guardian,

In our classroom, we are using a program called Study Island, an online learning resource that will help students with standards mastery. Because Study Island is web-based, students will be able to continue their learning outside of the classroom.

I have included a set of instructions to help you get your student up and running at home. You’ll want to learn how to help them access their assignments. When your student completes an assignment, either in class or as homework, you will be able to track their progress in the MyClass feature.

As part of Study Island, Blue Ribbons are awarded to students when they master a topic. Throughout the coming school year, make sure to take a look at how many blue ribbons your student has received for their hard work.

If you do not have internet access at home, your student will be able to use the facilities at school or the local library.
