4. REVIEW CIVIC CENTER DRIVE IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT Presentation by Department of Public Works, County Administrator and Cultural Services Staff
Review and discuss preliminary design concepts to improve Civic Center Drive circulation and provide accessible intermodal (pedestrian, bicycle, transit) connectivity between the new SMART Civic Center Station (expected to be operational sometime in 2016), the Civic Center campus, and surrounding vicinity. The proposed improvements include new sidewalks, bike lanes, multi-use pathway, a roundabout where Civic Center Drive intersects Memorial Drive/Peter Behr Drive, improved intersection crosswalks, landscaping, and lighting.
