West Virginia University Institute of Technology (WVU Tech), a regional four-year campus and division of West Virginia University, located in Montgomery, WV, invites applications for the following employment opportunity:

Lecturer/Senior Lecturer Track Nursing Faculty position - within the WVU Tech Department of Nursing as part of the West Virginia University School of Nursing. The position is 9-mo, full-time, benefits- eligible and reports to the Chair of the WVU Tech Nursing Department on the Montgomery campus.

Qualifications: A Master’s degree (MSN) in nursing and one year of professional nursing practice experience is required. Evidence of current experience in nursing practice sufficient to demonstrate professional competence is also required. The successful candidate must have an unencumbered WV RN License by position start date. Applicants with an earned doctorate in nursing or a related field as well as applicants with two years of teaching experience in nursing are encouraged to apply. Initial appointment for Lecturer requires one year of professional nursing practice experience while an initial appointment for Senior Lecturer requires three years of teaching experience in nursing.

Responsibilities: Duties include teaching in the basic BSN and RN to BSN programs utilizing a variety of formats, including on-line teaching, clinical teaching, and traditional classroom instruction. Additional responsibilities include advising students so they are guided appropriately through admission, matriculation, and completion of the basic BSN program and serving on committees that support the mission of the School of Nursing.

Salary and Rank: Commensurate with qualifications. Position is effective August 16, 2015. Review of applications begins immediately and will continue until the position is filled.
