Fire; Models using flame-based weapons get hits based on the following; First the model rolls to hit (Using their D10 & Energy weapons skill). If they have rolled equal or less, they hit, and the number rolled is the number of hits that have landed on the enemy. If they roll over their skill, they only land a single hit. Fire-based weapons cannot land criticals. Grenades with Fire attributes only ever land a single hit.

Scatter; Non-thrown weapons first roll to hit, using the weapon skill required. A successful roll means the shot is on target. If they do not, the player then rolls a further D10, this is how far the shot scatters, minus relevant skill.

Thrown weapons must always roll scatter.

Spread. Shotguns and scatter-guns (“Shot” under Notes) Each round fired has a set number of shot. (hits/AP). Each shot rolls to hit separately. In addition, shot may be spread around to models within base contact with the main target, too.

Automatic weapons Some weapons fire quickly, and every set of action points fire a burst (hits/AP). Every shot fired from one burst must be put on a single target.
