Daily work will not be checked every day. Tests and quizzes: 60% of total grade You will take eight 50 pt. written tests and several oral tests and oral presentations Participation:20% of total grade You will be required to speak in Spanish during class. If you are giving a concerted effort to speak daily you will receive your full points.

Grading scale 100-95 A 79-77 C 94-92 A- 76-74 C- 91-89 B+ 73-71 D+ 88-86 B 70-68 D 85-83 B- 67-65 D- 82-80 C+ 64-0 F Study expectations 1.Aquí se habla español I expect you to push yourself to speak in Spanish in class. 2.Do your homework 3.Study for tests and prepare for presentations 4.Take advantage of any extra resources provided to you. 5.Ask for help when you need it!!!! That’s what I’m here for!

1 Daily work Daily assignments will be written and on Quia. You have until the end of each chapter to complete the assignments, after which point they will become a zero in the gradebook. Daily assignments will be graded on a scale of 1-5 (except for writing assignments). 5 = 100-90% 4 = 89-80% 3 = 79-60% 2 = 59-40% 1 = 39-1% 0 = any assignment not turned in or turned in after the end of a chapter Re-takes You may retake any WRITTEN TEST, after you have completed the following: 1.) Make vocabulary flashcards or two column notes 2.) Be able to review and EXPLAIN the grammar to Sra. Lane

You will have 3-4 days to re-take the test, and Sra. Lane will stipulate when you she is available to give it to you. You may not just come and take it whenever you want. You will receive the better grade.

There will be NO re-takes for oral exams or presentations.
