Evergreen Solar, Inc. (NASDAQ: ESLR) a Massachusetts-based company, develops, manufactures and markets solar PV products using its low cost, proprietary String Ribbon technology. Evergreen’s products provide reliable and environmentally clean electric power throughout the world. Evergreen’s technology spans the wafer, cell and module stages of manufacturing, and it holds intellectual property in all three areas. The ribbon is then cut and prepared for cell fabrication. This process is one of the most cost-effective, energy efficient and environmentally benign manufacturing processes known for making PV wafers and cells. Evergreen also makes the Sunplicity Flat Roof Mounting System – especially designed to work with its EC-100 Series modules. Sunplicity makes it simple, efficient and cost-effective to install PV systems on commercial, industrial and institutional buildings.
