SOAR Fundamentals: The Basics Key elements from the online curriculum emphasizing the steps in the SOAR process including the criteria for eligibility, the sequential evaluation, documenting disabilities and substance use, and using the Blue Book Listings.

SOAR Fundamentals: Getting Started Getting started on your first application is the focus of this section, including the forms and worksheets that need to be completed and what makes a complete SOAR application. Tips on file maintenance will be provided as well as State or local SOAR processes, contacts at local SSA and DDS offices and other contacts related to the collection of medical records and securing medical evaluations.
