SREA Board of Directors Meeting Tuesday March 8th, 2016 Portage Public Library, Sanderson Room
Present:Miles Oakey, Micki Fuerst, Margie Druce Bud Lawrence, Joe Duesler, Linda Brzezinski, Joe & Dorothy Baldwin, Merle Murphy. Absent: Gary Guckenberger.
Baldwin’s unit 314 introduced themselves to the board. New owners in Saddle Ridge. Ingrid Poppy unit 640 had a concern about the green space in the circle of the 600’s units. Murphy unit 6037 had a concern of a crack in the walk up of the condo.
Secretary’s Report: (Linda Brzezinski). Copies of November meeting furnished. Druce approved, Lawrence seconded.
Treasurer’s Report: (Micki Fuerst). Miller Brussell Ebben sent audit letter. No issues found. SREA good for another year. February balances as follows: Checking account-$85,406.34. Sent $25,000 from checking to Money Market. Money Market account-$131,471.49. Reserve account-$251,503.77. Allocated reserves- $142,000. Snow plowing bill will be approximately $8,000-$8,500. Fuerst went over Budgeted Reserve accounts and SREA is in good condition. Duesler approved, Druce seconded.
Buildings & Grounds: (Joe Duesler). Units 106 & 108 had bat issue. Wisconsin Bat came in and problem was solved. Unit 6001 had problem with foundation. Badger Basement and Tri State came in with estimates. Duesler called 4 Seasons to give estimate to dig down to drain water away. Unit 601 had siding portion done, unit 406 requested to remodel upper bathroom-approved at owner’s expense, unit 216 requested tub insert in upper bathroom-approved at owner’s expense, unit 506 requested cement patio- approved at owner’s expense, unit 211 has garbage between garage and house-letter will be sent, unit 6012 requested new siding-other units still ahead of 6012 but will be evaluated, unit 6018 has interest in enclosing lowe deck. Ok if done to SREA standards. Snow Report-minor complaints since first snowfall. Minor damage done to Druce garage and fence in 6000’s. Trees-had one spruce tree down and grounded by 406-407, unit 102-103 had 5 dead trees dropped and units 311-312 had 6 trees dropped.
Utilities: (Margie Druce). Renewed Flites contract. All water tests done has come back normal.
Roads: (Joe Duesler). Unit 6012 requested a parking pad at owner’s expense. Approved.
President’s Report: (Miles Oakey). Discussion of unit 415 or rental agreement and the unit having 3 vehicles.
Next Scheduled Meeting: Thursday, May 12, 2016 at the Portage Library at 6 PM.
Adjournment: Motion made by Druce seconded by Lawrence to adjourn. Meeting adjourned at 7:55PM.
