Secretary - Pete September minutes were approved without reading.
Treasurer – Jeff There were expenses & income since September 17, 2012 Balance last month - $591.74 Balance this month - $547.28
VP Corner – Chris Ft Worth work assignment list was passed around. Next Club Setup Location: Crosby Rec. Center October 26 – 28, 2012 Setup: Fri 26th, 4:00p-9:00p Sat: 27th, 9:00a-9:00p (Public Noon-5:00PM) Sun: 28th, 11:00a-8:00p (Public Noon-5:00PM) Teardown:Sun, 28th 5:00PM-8:00PM Stanchions will be used and signs (No Touching / No Running) will be used. No Club meeting will be held at this show Things to look out for at future venues. No platforms, chairs, baskets to stand on. Club liability and possibility of injury and damage to the layout. Security on at least two corners to prevent theft and damage. Keep an eye on kids and adults. Run sheets will be e-mailed before show.
New Member Recruitment – Tom New member prospects - Linn Garrison and Alex Morrow. Committee and Project Reports:
North Texas Council – Dave Status of upcoming Ft Worth Show – The club will have 7 hours to fill – volunteer sheet was passed around
Status of upcoming Plano Show – the club will have 1 hours to fill plus the set-up taping.
DCC – Glenn Operation of automated turnouts – still have a few more to put in.
HOn3 DCC – Leonard Will test new DT402D throttles and the UR92 duplex transceiver at the Carrollton show. Do survey of needed repairs for up-coming shows. Run operations if time permits
Radio Committee Report – Jeff and Bill We were shown a chart of battery life. We were given the cost of new rechargeable batteries and a new charger. The buying of the batteries & charger was approved. We were shown new headsets if we wanted to individually purchase for those without headsets.
Operations – Jim Plans at Carrollton are to do 2 hours before and after regular hours on Saturday.
Venues / Advertising – Tom Confirmed show date for the WGH show (NG) at Will Rogers auditorium – Jan. 4 – 6 Confirmed show date for Garland NG Library, 2013 – Feb 21 - 23 Confirmed show date for Longview – Mar. 1 – 3 Confirmed show date for Richardson, 2013– June 7 – 9 Confirmed show dates for Garland, 2013 – Aug 21-23 for public
Project Status – Leonard Tasks left to complete – Modules 13, 15 and 16 and remainder of LED installations. Need fold up legs for module 20. Introduce collapsible fold-up legs for module22. All Turntable module mechanical and electrical repair work complete. Structures still need attention. Old Business:

Upcoming Show Calendar: We will do Frisco with some additional dates and receive $1000.
NMRA Lone Star Dallas Convention 2013 – Dave The Lone Star Region decided our layout was too big for the show.. Go & join anyway!
Next Club Meetings: Nov 12 Matthews Dec 16 Frisco Teardown Signup sheet for future meeting locations was passed around.
Trailer Status - Leo New tires were purchased and installed Floor will be repaired during Frisco.
DART Railfan Trip - Glenn DART/DCTA trip to be Nov. 17. New Business:
Bill, Bart & Bob volunteered to: Transport Glenn’s modules 18 & 19, DCC cable box, both DCC consoles and assorted scenery boxes to Carrollton. Shawn will transport Dane’s modules to Carrollton
Frisco Show dates are: Set up Sunday, Nov 18 at 2:00 PM. Nov 23, Friday – Day after Thanksgiving Nov 24, Saturday (NEW) Nov 30, Friday (NEW) Dec 1, Saturday - Merry Main Street Dec 7, Friday - Christmas in the Square 6 -10 Dec 8, Saturday - Christmas in the Square 6 -10 Dec 14, Friday - Christmas in the Square 6 -10 Dec 15, Saturday - Christmas in the Square 6 –10 Tear down date – Sunday, Dec 16
Leonard introduced the mentoring program and passed around sign-up sheet. Club shirts that were ordered were passed out. Train Time: Jeff showed his jig for making 3-rail turnouts. Pete showed a video of Leo’s live steam club meet.
Closing: Sign up sheet for Carrollton was passed out and the meeting ended.
