Description of role:

Reporting to the Head of Digital, the digital and social producer is responsible for the day-to- day management of Media Trust’s portfolio of sites and social media profiles: engaging with our users; giving our sites ‘a voice’; managing metadata; uploading video content; listening to and responding to online conversations and working on digital development projects as they arise.

Key responsibilities  Work with the Web Manager to identify key online priorities for the Media Trust and Community Channel websites and maintain editorial planner for online, social media and e- newsletter activity  Support the Do Something Brilliant creative campaign to retain and build our audience networks through engaging e-newsletter, social media and other online content  Contribute to and carry out Media Trust social media policy across all platforms  Maintain the Media Trust and Community Channel websites on a day-to-day basis, creating pages in bespoke CMS; research, write and edit copy for websites according to house style and SEO; edit images for online use  Responsible for creating and securing compelling consumer content for use across our online channels to support the Do Something Brilliant campaign, Community Channel seasons and Media Trust activity  Maintain metadata and images for Community Channel video content on third-party sites  Maintain and develop and increase audiences of Media Trust and Community Channel YouTube channels  Act as main point of contact for websites and respond to website users, establishing and managing the online community, including moderating comments and blog posts  Use Google Analytics to produce monthly statistical reports and update departmental KPIs  Assist the Web Manager in the redevelopment of the Media Trust portfolio of sites as required  Support the marketing team on the regular distribution of content-rich e-comms to customers and stakeholders  Undertake project-based work as and when necessary  Other duties as required

Person specification:

 Degree level qualification or equivalent  Fully conversant with the online landscape and familiar with channels such as Google +, YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr, Pinterest etc  Calm, methodical approach to work, excellent attention to detail  Experience of updating multiple websites and editing online content  A working knowledge of basic HTML and Photoshop  Creative flair; excellent writing and editorial skills  Good understanding of the charity and media sectors an advantage  Excellent communication skills with the ability to deal with people from all levels, media, government and charities and third party suppliers  Commitment to equal opportunities and the aims of Media Trust
