Job Title: Senior Fundraising Manager Location: Award House, London Reports To: Head of Fundraising Direct Reports: Fundraising Officer – Donor Recruitment & Care

Summary of Role The purpose of this role is primarily to lead on donor recruitment & care. This includes donor research, due diligence, recruitment, renewal, development and delivery of appropriate communications material and donor relationship management.

The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Foundation is in the middle of celebrating three important anniversaries. The fundraising team is restructuring to better service a much wider groups of donors and we are looking for a senior fundraiser, who can engage with and develop long-term relationships with our individual donors and increasing number of corporate donors.

The role will work closely alongside two other senior managers (Events and Development) to build a comprehensive relationship with our incredibly generous donor groups, ensuring that they feel part of our charitable work, feel able to contribute and able to introduce their friends and colleagues to our work. It is envisaged that this role will require an even split between front facing donor engagement and high quality donor relationship management.

Key Responsibilities Recruitment of donors The successful candidate will:  Identify, vet, select and approach suitable donors at all levels, working in close collaboration with the Chair of World Fellowship, the Chair of Young Fellowship and other key ‘introducers’  Develop and recruit corporate donors and investors to the Foundation’s new ‘Partners’ programme  Implement the Foundation’s Legacy fundraising programme, in particular identifying and planning approaches to prospective legacy donors and supporting approaches to third party introducers.  Develop grant applications to Trusts and Foundations, on the back of appropriate and robust research and development.

Donor relationships The successful candidate will:  Develop and strategically manage the Foundation’s ‘Fellowship’ programme; meeting the needs of different levels of engagement and promoting progression through different donor levels.  Develop and manage the Foundation’s ‘Friends’ programme to maximise gifts in kind and cash gifts.  Oversee the preparation of publications and relevant communications for all donors and supporters.  Develop and maintain a robust framework for management of donor relationships  Act as the accountable officer for due diligence of prospective and existing supporters.

 Undertake any other duties as required to support the successful delivery of Fundraising Department objectives.

Must be willing to travel on behalf of the Foundation, sometimes with overnight stays. Overtime is not payable, though hours worked over and above standard contract can be taken in lieu of payment (in line with policy).
