Ms. Johnson’s October Newsletter

Dear Parents, Thank you so much to Mrs. Kalka and Mrs. Rizvi for sponsoring a fabulous Autumn party last Friday! I also appreciate the many other parent helpers who made that a fun event for our students. On another note, the Money test will be this Thursday, and the science test on Earth cycles will be on Friday. We don't have a spelling test this week, but we do have word study homework. The next spelling test will be on November 10. There will be teacher workdays for November 7 and 8 (Monday and Tuesday) of next week. Some parents thought it was only the Monday, so hence the reminder. Thanks so much for the hole punchers, wireless keyboard, bouncy balls, and clean white erasers! I'll let you know when we need more of something, but for now we are doing great! The following have been chosen as chaperones for our upcoming field trip to the museum on the 16 of November. Just a note, if the weather is chilly that day we will eat inside the museum instead. I am hoping we get lucky and have an unseasonably warm day! Mrs. Rizvi Mrs. Zelakiewicz Mr. Pugsley Mrs. Kalka Mrs. Deeds Mrs. Martin (Alternate if needed will be Mrs. Sheridan) Thanks for all those who volunteered. If you are unable to come for some reason just let me know ASAP. We will have another field trip opportunity in May.

Important Dates:  November 4th end of 1st Quarter  No School November 7 and 8 for Teacher Work Days

Thank you for always checking your child’s RED homework folder and signing the school agenda each night for homework assignments. When a student reaches 15 ticket punches, one for each homework turned in, they get to pick something out of the grab box as a recognition for a job well done.

Anytime you have questions about anything, please feel free to leave me a note in your child’s folder, email me (not for dismissal changes) or call the office and leave a message. I will respond as soon as possible. Enjoy Autumn! Sincerely, Ms.Johnson
