EndoChoice Launches The CinchPad™

The Proprietary CinchPad™ Protects Endoscopy Professionals from Infection Risks, and Protects the Endoscope from Damage

Atlanta, GA (March 4, 2009) – EndoChoice, Inc. is pleased to announce the launch of its revolutionary CinchPad™ at a new lower price. Since its inception in May of 2008, the CinchPad™ has been widely adopted by leading institutions as a standard of infection control for safely transporting dirty Endoscopes that are often soiled with blood, bile, and stool post Endoscopy procedures. The CinchPad’s™ unique patented design allows Endoscopy professionals to transport dirty Endoscopes in an enclosed, padded leak-proof container that was designed to meet stringent infection control standards recommended by Endoscopy Professional Societies.

Over the past few years, an alarming increase of infections from microorganisms originating from bodily fluid spills has been reported in healthcare settings. This trend has elevated the need for Healthcare professionals to adhere to stricter infection control standards that are designed to eliminate cross- contamination risks and splash injuries originating from bodily fluids. The innovative CinchPad™ helps Endoscopy professionals safely contain bodily fluids while transporting Endoscopes to cleaning areas where they undergo a stringent High-Level disinfectant cycle.

According to Mary Wagner RN, Nurse Manager/ Endoscopy, “At Florida Hospital (a 7 hospital network in central Florida) we found the CinchPad™ to help our Endoscopy labs safely and efficiently transport our valuable Endoscopes from our procedure rooms to our cleaning rooms”. Mary continued, “After a thorough Endoscopy committee and Infection Control review, we decided to make the CinchPad a standard product in each endoscopy procedure.”

“We are very pleased to offer the CinchPad™ to the GI community”, said Mark Gilreath, EndoChoice CEO. “It’s a simple innovation that delivers on two important goals. The CinchPad™ helps protect the Endoscopy staff from splash injuries, while protecting the Endoscope from external damage during transport. Saving one single staff injury or a major scope repair more than covers the low annual cost of the CinchPad™.”
