You can sign up for a free trial and get started on things. You’re going to hear Ryan talking ton about Click Funnels but also about stuff he is doing. Ryan is known as the hard core closer and this guy absolutely rocks. I have been just amazed. I read his book, I had the opportunity of talking a little bit our inner circle meeting.
What you get with Ryan is the real deal, holds nothing back and I am super super excited so welcome Ryan! Congratulations! Welcome to our call and we are super excited to have you on.
Ryan: Hey man! I am probably more excited to be here than you are to have me on, man. I can’t believe that people even let me on their podcast. In the first place, literally like cool people like you, you know, endorsing cool products so I am glad to be here, Dave.
Dave: (giggling) We’re glad to have you. Well, Ryan, for those people who don’t know, if you don’t’ mind take about three to five minutes here and give them a quick over view as far as again your book was awesome. I wish everyone… Again, if you have not read the book go to www.hardcorecloser.com ad buy the book. You can probably buy on Amazon as well. What you’re gonna get… but Ryan you know your story more than I do so take a few minutes quick here and share with us a little background for some people who do not know who they are listening to.
Ryan: Well uh okay… So I am a prolific mistake maker. I think that’s what really led to this level of success that I have but pretty much every mistake or… or mishap that would be life altering that could happen to you had somehow made its way into my life and I don’t say that for sympathy but I have been adopted, I left school, I have an eighth grade education, I went to prison at age 19, I returned the prison, right? Because you can get enough of that stuff at the age 24[00:2:00].
I have been divorced three times, bankrupt… this is like my 50 th company to try to start and I finally got one that’s up and running and I’ve had a hell of journey, man. I literally have come it within the last six years from the penitentiary to the penthouse man and it’s been an interesting journey and I have the you know the internet to thank for that and guys like Russell Brunson [02:40] and products like Click Funnels and things like that. It’s uh... I am a prolific action taker man and when you take a lot of actions you make a lot of mistakes but I have… I don’t know anybody better at bouncing back from the bottom than I am at this point. (laughs)
Alright. I don’t know anybody else who has that many come backs and bounce backs and hopefully we can just keep this going at this time.
Dave: You have done an amazing job. I think…What I really hope people get out of this, if you guys are listening to Ryan’s story it’s kind of goes out like this. It’s massive massive actions. One of the things, Ryan, I have read through your book and I was just amazed.
Yeah you‘ve had some crazy crap happening in your life but you always bounce back and quick. I mean… I am just amaze given that person’s dealing with this… so you’re in a mortgage industry for while there and all of a sudden because they found out about your back ground you cannot do mortgage anymore. Can you share a little bit about that back ground?
Ryan: Yes. So I went to Federal Prison in 2007 and got out in 2008. I went for a gun charge, right? And so that’s the whole ladder story. You have to read the book, right? It’s an interesting one to say the least but so when I got out I talked to the CEO of the largest privately held mortgage bank in Texas to give me a job, right? They knew I was a felon and they took a big chance on me. I mean a big chance. It took some serious selling to make that happen, right? And I had a promise to become a top producer and all that other stuff, which I did.
And I always look at everything as like I am there for a reason. I went to prison in 2008. Some of my friends were killing themselves and divorcing and losing their families coz the mortgage market was melting down and here I was a club fed just kind of hanging out and watching movies on a Friday nights with the other inmates, right? So I kind of sheltered from all the stress cause I was like, [00:4:00] “Shit I can’t pay bills anyway so I will just enjoy my time here right now right here, right?” No sense of worrying about that. So when I got out, I got this job and then I was number one. I think I was number one in the state of Texas and top ten in the country for loans originated in 2009. I did a whole bunch like a hundred and eighty three loans in a time where people like I said were killing themselves and everything else from the mortgage industry. It was one of the worst times in our lifetime anyway and I was able to make the most out of it.
But in 2010, the government passed something about called the Dodd Frank act and they would not allow me to renew my license because I had a previous felony and that’s what forced me into the internet. I was doing mortgages in one of my real estate agents that sent me business and he was like, “Dude, check out this guy Frank Kiernan on the internet. He’s like the surfer guy. He’s like I could totally see you and him getting along. You should check it out.” And I was kind of hook up with that which a lot of people say that he’s been their gateway drug, right?
Dave: (laughs) Yes. Yes. But, again, now that you’re in it you’ve been crushing it online. And I think I have seen you do coaching programs, high end stuff too I mean you’re not just selling a thousand dollar product online trying to make a couple of bucks here in and there. I mean you’re absolutely have been crushing it. Again alluding to the penthouse. So I know for a lot of people who will listen to this we’ve talked about Facebook traffic, we’ve talked about social media, we’ve talked about all sorts of different things. One thing we really have not covered that much and really what I want you to go into which is your specialty and that is really selling. How do you sell and how do you do a great job of it without the person who is buying it feeling like they are being sold?
Ryan: Man, that is a great question and I am well qualified to answer that for you so I will be more than happy to. So here’s the thing, there are two sets of anxieties going on when people enter sales conversation whether be in phone whether be in person or whatever. And I don’t know if you’ve ever been around people that are anxious with that having anxiety or fear or whatever. I have, obviously through prison; will just use that as an example since I mentioned that earlier. It’s never a good thing when you got anxious people around each other, right? [00:6:00] That nervous energy will rub off on each other. So a lot of sales people they get on their call and their nervous energy are what would say what if a lot of sales people need money. We blow it. We spend it you know. Whether we make a bunch of it or not, we blow, right? So we always need the sale so there is always that neediness that comes through that anxiety that you can feel through the phone, right? And on the side of the prospect, the person that’s buying… Potentially buying from you their anxiety is, “What if this sales person sales me?” Right? Like you said, people don’t want to get sold people want to purchase and buy things, right? So they think their anxiety and their fears, “What if I… What if this dude sell me and I paid too much and then my neighbors look at me and say, “You’re an idiot. You pay ten grand more for the house than we did” You know or. “You’re an idiot, you pay two grand more above sticker for the car than I did.” Like all those kinds of fears so what I found to get rid of those fears and anxiety is to set a schedule with people. When you talk to them just like a lot of people call it setting expectations. I call it setting the agenda. Letting them know upfront because if I can get rid of that anxiety and I’ll tell how to do that just a second. But if I can get rid of their anxiety on their end, I guess what I don’t mine either because I am not worried if they buy or not because most likely they are going to and so what I do is I set an agenda with them in the beginning so instead of making it as a sales call here’s when almost all sales people fail.
They will talk continually and never shut up about the product. Nobody wants to buy an info product with a hundred videos in it. Dude, if you’re like busy and you’ve stuff to do you don’t to watch hundreds of videos, right? Nobody. Even the guy that doesn’t have anything like a hundred videos. Dude, that’s a lot of work, right? But if you take them from where they are to their desired result that’s how you make the sale.
The only way you do that is by uncovering what that desired result that they want is. The only way that you can do that is by asking questions. So what I do to get rid of that anxiety is that I flip it from me trying to sell them to interviewing them, right? No different in this radio podcast. I am going to ask them questions just like the way you ask me and you got to listen and I talk for five minutes. I’m gonna do the same thing with my sales prospects because some of the best sales people are detectives, right? [00:8:00] C.S.I types. Anyway, if you think about and if you watched the episodes of C.S.I., they’re getting a person to confess, right? To close. “Okay that’s it, you’re right.” “I’ll buy it.” That’s basically what they’re doing but instead, “I killed somebody”. Or whatever, right?
Dave: (laughs) Great analogy.
Ryan: But if you watch them they don’t ever talk. People in the confessing like, “We know you this… this… this…” They always ask questions. “Where were you on this night?” “Why do you have an alibi?” You know what I mean? They’re asking the interviewing questions.
They’re not trying to talk somebody into it. So I do the same in sales because what they’re doing is their fact finding and uncovering clues that lead them to their confession. In the sales world, that confession is I need your stuff, right? So that’s what I am doing. I’m fact finding. I’m looking for clues till I get them to say, “Alright, alright. (Mimics the sound of the shot of gun) I need your stuff. Dave: (laughs) So how do you do that online? I mean… One thing to be doing like you and I are over the phone or in face to face transaction but how do you work with somebody online to ask those kind of questions, to get a person to progress down to the sales site whether they actually wanna buy your product?
Ryan: Well, so, I’ve got a system that we use that I did at Russell Brunson’s event where we met called “Catch”, right? And it’s a five step selling process where you can walk people through and you can use that in face to face, from the stage, in person, through text message, through email or whatever.
But like you said, a lot of people reading sales pages and make the decision whether to buy or not. You’re not even communicating well especially Click Funnels. That’s the whole point of that to , to talk to people, right?
Dave: Right.
Ryan: The way that I found which I’m pretty good in sales pages, too. My website gets about a half a million unique visitors each month and the www.hardcoreclose.com site.
Dave: That’s awesome!
Ryan: And I’ve got probably… I know you ain’t wanna hear this but I probably got 800 lead pages set up and I probably got… I’m new to Click Funnels. We’re moving everything over but we probably got 30 funnels set up over their already.
Dave: Fantastic!
Ryan: And so we have a lot of sales pitches out there. We got a lot of experience with that. What I do in my sales pitches via the sales pages [00:10:00] are videos or however I wanna do it I just address their problem and go through the same thing. I just assume that they’ve already given me the questions to those answers or the answers to their questions. I’m sorry.
And so when I make a video or I write a blog post, I am addressing the questions or the answers they gave me to their questions, right? So I may say you know, “Would you like to have more leads and be able to set up a complete a funnel in less than an hour? Well of course you would because that would allow you to do X, Y, Z”. So I address the questions that they have in their mind and the questions that I would ask them and just sell over that, right? Coz the key with being a copy writer or whatever… And I bought Russell’s funnel scripts yesterday which is awesome.
This is gonna help me write headlines for real and then we set up two perfect webinars within about thirty minutes yesterday because of that system’s tool. So it’s pretty awesome.
Dave: Like I said, this is a guy who’s taking massive action.
Ryan: Yeah. So I like the stuff, right? Like if I like something I see some value and then I’ll take off with it but you know with the sales copy again what we’re trying to do is address their concerns upfront and show them that we can give them their desired results. The only downside of the sales copy versus like text messaging where you live interacting is that you can’t always be sure of their desired results.
You have to make sure you are speaking to a very specific person, right? And hope that you run more of those people in your traffic line and to your site. But really a lot of our stuff even… I guess I’m kind of giving away my secret sauce here but even if you go to my website you’re gonna get a call from my sales team. You are gonna get an email from somebody in my sales team because you know, you came into my ego system we want you to be able to get what you are looking for whether be a flick free blog post, whether a free e-book or whether it be fourteen hundred ninety seven dollar digital product or twenty five thousand coaching program that you want.
We want to make sure that you were there for a reason and we wanna make sure that while you’re there and while you’re looking for something that we can provide you then we will. Whether that will sell you something or give you something. And we build a lot of good will audience like that.
We get a lot of referrals. It’s something to be a guy in my [00:12:00] stature in the sales world with the name like Hard Core Closer that’s known for causing people out and being in prison and something not be in the rip off report and have a bunch of happy client. You know I’m know as the guy with the bad attitude and everything else so it’s the sales stuff that we do is really… really works effectively every which way but I prefer live stuff. Coz like I say, when they go to our blog post and read our sales pages if they opt in even if they buy something we’re still gonna hit them up.
Between me and you, I guess whoever is listening, Dave I have a caller ID on my website, so if you even visit my blog I stamp your IP address where you’re at, your phone number, your Linkedin, your Facebook, your Twitter like we find you every way. Like everything that we set up there’s a way to be able to connect and help people.
Dave: I think that’s awesome. I think… Again every people who are listening to this and everything else you have to understand, there’s real people who are watching your websites, watching your videos and reading your blog posts and you have to connect with them.
And again, Ryan you are doing such an awesome job of not just overcoming the objections that they might be having but more importantly you just kind of address that a second ago. Really helping them understand and for some people they don’t know what the real result is they want and so you do such a great job of helping paint that picture for them as far as you know… “This might be the result you’re looking for then.”
And you went through you know gave a couple of ideas there just as far as stuff that you guys are you know are picking up and talking about whether it’s you know… a blog post or videos.. I think one of the main things that a lot of people that I just love every time I talk to you … I’ve read your stuff. You’re not afraid to get on the phone and as you said just I love the fact that you’re… What is the tool that you’re using right now that’s basically capturing their IP address and everything else that you can follow up so fast with those people on? Ryan: Yeah, man. We can get to it real time. Like so we… That’s how we close our corporate accounts. We’re like, “Hey there’s obviously sales people in your organization log in under our website maybe you should volume licensed one of our sales products to your sales team, right? Which ain’t nothing to big corporation to write a ten thousand dollar check like it ain’t nothing. But yeah, [00:14:00] there is a website like called Visistas like V I S I S T A S.com and it’s caller ID for your website.
Dave: That is an awesome tool. I think everyone’s gonna love it. We’ll start business types in a lot of Click Funnels pages real pretty quick and may we integrate them real fast.
Ryan: Yeah and then in between that and then Google analytics. They will really let you know like the amount of people on your site and then who was on your site as well so that you can do your targeting when it comes to Facebook, or Google, or Youtube, or Instagram or whatever you find your traffic at.
In that way, you know what kinds of companies are hitting your website, you know who’s on there and how many do this cool system.
Dave: That’s awesome. What other tools and stuff are you guys using right now? I mean you’re just crushing it because the great about you – you’re dealing with individuals and you’re also dealing with corporations. So you’re also dealing with B to C as well as B to B type of business.
Ryan: Dude, I sell everything. Man, I sell house alarms. I have like 32 streams of income. We even sell stuff like you know, I like to keep gangster, right? We even sell stuff to the hood, man. Dude, I sell everything man like you guys know me from my high end coaching in sales training and stuff like that but shit I am a salesman first and foremost.
I just happen to be the CEO of this company so I sell all sorts of stuff. Literally, like you name it probably we’ve got a fish hook in the water right out there somewhere on it.
Dave: I love that. Let’s talk about someone’s fish hook then. Let’s talk about the gangster. So, again you’re right. I know you’re primarily more on the corporate side those kind of things, the high ticket stuff. What are some of the tools and things that you… First of all, what are you selling if you don’t mind sharing this part?
What are you selling to the gangster group? And how are you tracking them? What types of funnels you’re running them through? If you don’t mind kind of sharing some of that stuff with us.
Ryan: Yes. We got uh… We do what we call. I’m not gonna share my page coz I’m trying to keep my stuff down though. We call it Hoodmims, right? And so we take pictures of rappers and then things that they say in their lyrics.
And you know how like in the business world like we have a motivational pose like a picture of Zig Zigler like you can have anything you want if you’re just helping up people get what they want, right? [00:16:00]
Dave: Right. Ryan: So, we do that but for rap songs, right? So they might say like, “I came in the game like crack on me”. Or something like that (giggles). Right? Like for rappers, like gangster stuff. And then we run traffic to affiliate offers on Amazon, right? So we know that those kinds of people wear certain kind of… The people that listen to that music were putting out there, wear certain type of clothes, their loyal to certain brands. So we just got one affiliate leads to those brands, they share our pictures.
You know what I mean. We get a thousand shares on a picture and then right behind that on our Facebook page we’ll post an affiliate link to Amazon. And then often times we leave and run a little traffic cuz they’ll buy enough to cover the traffic on it. That’s not a huge money maker right at this minute. We ran it about a month now but that’s just like one of the things that I sell and then you know what it’s kind of funny how people make fun of me. I am a 2 time felon but I sell house alarms to keep people safe, right? But I never hurt anybody.
Dave: (laughs)
Ryan: And probably I am the best dude to buy it from, right? Cuz I know the legit stuff. We are on the process right now if you are listening and this is you we’re casting we need somebody to come in our alarm commercial just like, “Hey! I used to rob houses and then a house alarm is what I ended up get me arrested and then two years in jail and now we won’t rob houses anymore.” We want to use that as like our commercial for people. Like, “Hey! House alarm, lock this dude up… You know.
You don’t want them to three hundred percent increase in chance of risk of being robbed if you don’t have a home alarm. So anyway, we do also sorest of cools stuff, man.
That all the way up to my twenty five thousand dollar a year inner circle coaching program which I don’t have a lot of whole people in there, it’s like nothing like Russell’s deal. I have like thirteen or fourteen people in there but most of them have just renewed with me every year for the last three years so I really have not had to put a lot of effort over there.
Dave: Yeah I think thirteen, fourteen, fifteen people paying $25k. I always love people listen to this and I would be more than happy to be that right type of a mastermind.
Ryan: Yeah, hopefully we’ll get a hundred, buddy, for the year. We are thirteen right now. Thirteen or fourteen I think so I’ve had as many as seven in there, seventy in the past and I didn’t scale it correctly [00:18:00] and I didn’t do it right but now I have some coaches and things like that on my team as well, they have been the clients that paid the fifty thousand dollars a year that paid over the last couple of years that are now teaching my system because they have done it themselves first hand, right? So I think that’s the only way it really works.
Dave: I think that’s awesome! Let’s talk really briefly here about scaling because I know I think that’s one of the main things that a lot of people listen is lot of people had a lot of success on their businesses but it’s kind of a… There is one-man show or a one-woman show and they’re really trying to grow their business. You have done a great job about scaling multiple businesses so tell us how do you scale a business like you’ve done?
Ryan: Yeah. That’s a really good question man. That’s something I’m actually have passion about coz I’m going through it. It’s like the phase I am in, right? And there’s a couple of things like so Kevin Nations, good friend of mine, he taught me how to run the one-man wolf pack, right?
One Man’s Millions was the name of this course back in the day that he offered and we talked on the phone this morning. He knows he has a business where he makes and you know probably three to four million dollars a year, it’s just him, right? Like there is not staff, no nothing like it’s just him.
And I did that model which a lot of people listening to this know him I mean know that model, too. I did that for about four years and last year I decided that you know, “Hey man, you know one thing that makes fifty grand every month but then you realize that you can’t put in anymore hours and make more money than that doing the things that I wanted to do, right? So, you know Kevin he has a very expensive mastermind. I don’t’ have that ability, right? Like to do that, that’s not my natural market place so I had to figure out something so I hired sales people and lot of people like, “If I hire sales people Ryan, you train sales people so that’s easy for you and I’ll explain here in a second what you can do as well”. But I hired sales people and I give them thirty percent to sell my digital products.
So I have like thirteen different digital products that were in the process of… One of them is in Click Funnels now and we’re moving the other twelve from Kujabi to Click Funnels. And I like the Click Funnels ten times better so you guys got my endorsement on that. It’s so much cooler and I’ll talk about what we’re doing there [00:20:00] before the end.
But anyway, so I have these sales people and I trained the first ones and then I recorded it all. So, now as I put new sales people in my crew they just go through video training just like the Click Funnel digital program, right? They go through that, they have to buy the product to work for me, okay, so you’ve got to invest to at least into one of my five hundred dollar products to work for me then you make your first your first sale I will you the five hundred dollars back, you got a thirty three percent commission but I don’t talk to you like we don’t have one conversation until you make ten sales.
I don’t care if that ten sales at ninety bucks or ten sales at twenty five thousand but you don’t get any Facetime with Ryan until there’s been ten sales made. And so that motivates these guys that want me to get them sales training and to hurry up to get those ten out of the way so what you can do is the people that listening the one that scaled because you won’t miss thirty percent of your income, ten percent to ads, thirty percent to your sales person.
You just keep you know sixty percent to yourself, ten percent goes to your taxes if you’re self employed. So it’s pretty simple math, right? And so and then what you could sell three things a day but if you have six people and they each sell three things a day. You do the math, right? That’s eighteen sales a day versus your three. It’s just leveraging people. Smart guy taught me one time and said, “You either leverage your money which I wasn’t born with the silver spoon in my hand and so I didn’t have money to leverage, right? Or you leverage your time which means that you’re gonna do the work yourself or you leverage people and so highering the sales staff is the way you can leverage people but maybe you are not a good sales trainer, right?
And I get that, that’s not your job that’s mine but I have a program that you can purchase and you can go through and log your people into that program and then they can learn my sales process and apply it to your business very easy so that you’re pretty much hands off, right? So you just plug your… you hire sales person, you plug them under my system.
Tell them don’t talk to me and until they make ten sales and follow my system and boom! You’re like… It’s minimal time that you’ve spend and invested with the sales person and you’re able to scale your business. Because here’s the thing that I find as a CEO coz really I am a salesman first but my CPA and my lawyer keeps telling me that I gotta straight act like I have a damn one business or two, right?
Dave: (giggling)
Ryan: And so… [00:22:00] The thing is when you’re scaling a business we as CEO’s, entrepreneurs whatever we have a zone of genius, right? Like my zone of genius is writing. Man, I am good at writing, buying video, writing blog posts, writing books. Man, I love it that is my thing. I’d rather do that in sale people, right? So I know that if I got people making myself rather for me which don’t get me wrong I lead the sales team, right? I still make sales call every day. I love it.
But I love writing more. That’s my zone of genius and that writing fuels all the money and everything else coz without my blog post we didn’t have nothing to run traffic to. We wouldn’t have anything to get leads from. If I didn’t constantly come up with new materials to give out to the market place then they wouldn’t keep off in to get more stuff, right?
And so that’s my zone of genius is keeping that thing flowing and now I’ve been able to scale my business through my digital trainings and the same thing works for you. Train the first person, record it. The next people make them watch the recordings, right? You start on Monday, you better have all this stuff done by Sunday night.
And then you’re able to grow your business using the internet marketing stuff that you’re suppose to run in the first place and then scale the thing and guess what? You give them ten leads and if they don’t close any of them fire them and find somebody else. I had to go through about twenty people with the one that six that I have now.
But I’ve been able to leverage my… Because of those six people… One of them stepped up and became an affiliate manager, who’s making a few thousand dollars a week with the small commissions from the affiliates.
Then I’ve got now an operations manager so as people have really excel along the way put them in the right position just to make it where I can stand this on a genius. Like I have a book keeper, CPA, lawyer, operations manager, affiliate manager, six sales people, a web developer, a designer and it didn’t happen overnight, right? And at this point, I am paying top dollar for pretty much everybody but I was… I played hard as I could on this level that I have. I have six sales people, I pay them thirty percent and deliver this minimum leads as I could to them. And so on and so forth. That’s how you scale people is you train the first sales person really good. Record all of it and plug everybody else accordingly.
Dave: Man, that is absolutely brilliant! I love that. I also love the fact that they got to prove themselves. They got to buy your course, [00:24:00] they got to make ten sales.
I think that is absolutely brilliant! In that way you find out basically people who are really serious. I think it’s really great… really really cool!
Ryan: I can name about five people out there that are going around the internet and they sell sales that training that we fired.
Dave: (laughing)
Ryan: It ain’t no joke over here but at the same time how are you gonna sell something Dave? Like how could you sell Click Funnels if you didn’t use it?
Dave: I totally agree. We build funnels al the time for that reason
Ryan: Shall you use the ninety seven bucks a month or whatever it is to be a part of that. How could you say that that’s an awesome product and persuade other people into buying it and if you’ve never invested that a hundred dollars a month you yourself, man.
You really couldn’t. It would be a false. You’d be selling snake over that point coz you wouldn’t be doing something you believed in.
Dave: I totally agree with you on that. I think that’s the whole integrity of the sales person that comes out where you have to believe in or you really can’t sell it at long term. You can sell it for a while but if you really want to be passionate about something and if you really want to build your company you’ve got to believe in the stuff you are selling.
I think that you’ve just done an awesome job of that. I think that is fantastic! So, tell me real quick, as far as high ticket type of sales. What uh… For those people who are listening and wanted to start creating a high ticket program, what would you tell them are some of the steps they need to start looking at doing?
Ryan: So here’s the best advice coz I’ve done this obviously from scratch. Here’s the best advice - when you start a high ticket program most people here’s what they do in any ticket it can be low ticket it does not matter, right? They go and then invent the course and then try to sell it and what happens is when you spend your valued time, right?
Coz it took you a while to invent and put your course up in Click Funnels and all that stuff, right? And build your funnel, webpage and drive traffic and all that stuff, right? That takes a long time to set up no matter what your skill level is whether it’s a week or ten months that takes you to build that. The problem is along the way people haven’t made sales and when they come to launch and they’re like, “Fingers crossed this should work”.
Dave: (laughs) Ryan: Right? And so… Like everybody listens like they’re none of their head going. “Yeah, that’s not how you do it [00:26:00]. No that’s not how you do it. What you do is go pre sell it and you get a bunch of people to go ahead and join you. Maybe it’s not a bunch of people maybe it’s one person and then you do the course alongside them, right?
Like what I did on my last “ big ticket” is five thousand bucks to go through this book writing deal that I did and so you pay five thousand bucks in one month and we’re gonna write a book, right? From like idea to polishing … I got mine in my hand right now. Like we started in February 1st, everybody paid five grand and then by February what was that Monday was the 21st, everybody had a book in their hand, right? Like when does that happen ever?
Dave: That’s three weeks, man. That’s crank’in it.
Ryan: Dude and they didn’t write it. They have a system that unreal, man. I have three books for a reason, right? And these people ask me how I wrote a book so I was like, “Give me a five grand and I will show you how to do it in one month”.
Coz that’s all the time I have. So we got I think, eight people paid me five grand you know I think I wanted to take l twenty but there’s no way I could manage that many people, so it’s like Garth Brooks said, “I thank God for an answered prayers.”
Dave: I love that.
Ryan: I could not service many people the way that it needed to be done. So anyway, so with these eight people what I did was like I didn’t invent some course I took them and charge them five grand each and now I have a course that I’ll be selling in April of replays on how I help these people write a book in a month, right? And so instead of… I got paid basically to instead make the product that I’m gonna sell on the back end and it’s good publicity for the people that wrote a book in a month because I’m going to promote their books in the program and they got to talk about their stuff and everything else but at the same time I didn’t wait and develop this book in a month program and then launch it and be like, “Shit it’s not selling.
What I need to tweak. Oh man, that’s not working either what I need to tweak and go through all that stuff that most people go through. I’m just like, “Hey we’ll just do this together and we’ll record this as we go along and turn this into a product from the back end and the good news is you guys will be the only ones that get me in person to do this stuff. [00:28:00] And uh…
Dave: So these are the people who actually knew that you created a product and didn’t have it upfront?
Ryan: Yes. So they didn’t find out that I was creating a product out of it until obviously they got in the program and I told them that the idea was for them to just write a book in a month. But it was because I wanted to create a program showing that that was possible so instead of me taking two months to put it all together I just went through with this people live and got paid on the first go around. Well, let’s say eight times five that’s forty thousand bucks to do it on the first go around and then now you know I have a digital product on the back ground that I can tweak and everything that I’ve already made money upfront on.
Dave: I think that’s awesome. You got forty grand to actually create the product and you’ve got all the money you need to tweak it as far as the marketing level and everything else.
Ryan: And hire the best copy writers and hire the best design team. Now I got to forty grand to play and to do that kind of stuff. Well, like Russell said yesterday in the webinar he’s like one sales letter away from the million bucks, right?
So you know I got the money upfront. And I can invest the money in the other things that makes the whole internet marketing thing click which I’ve done time and time again now so I’ve got the process now.
Dave: Dude, you’re crashing it. I love that. That’s fantastic. So, as we get closer in kinda wrapping things up what is it uh…? What else would you like to share with people before you wrap things up?
Ryan: Well, so I have this little passion project and I guess you know… I guess I could say I have a text start up but coming on podcast like this, this is my 30th podcast this year so far in 2016 and I get invited to a lot of these, man and I’ll be releasing several throughout the year. I go and speak from the stage a lot which I will be a Funnel Hacking live and all these stuff, right?
So one of the things is people say, “Where do we find you? You’re gonna ask me at the end of this, “Where do we find you, Ryan? I am a hardcore closer on Instagram and I am Ryan Stewman on Facebook, I am a hardcorecloser.com, you have to give people like ten different locations nowadays. Like I m hardcore closer on Snapshot, right? Like all these.
Dave: (giggles)
Ryan: And some people aren’t’ lucky to have a name like Hardcore Closer but I’m [00:30:00] John.Smith123 on Facebook, I’m @Johnny. Smith on Instagram. It gets a lot to keep up with so I invented this software called Clyxo - Clyxo.com.
It’s complete free like we never charge you a dime that’s not how we roll and it’s a place for you to hold all your social media sites in one place so not to scroll through the newsfeeds but when people need to connect with you, you just say find me at Clyxo.com/closer and then there’s all my social media sites.
They can send me a request right from there. It’s just a search engine for people, so you can use the search bar to find the people that are already on there or you can use like my logo in your emails so you don’t have to have Twitter, Linkedin, Facebook and Pinterest and all that other stuff on there. You can use my logo in software on your website where you can… Like my website, I had five headlines, right?
Which are all calls to actions and then I had the social media stuff once I just uploaded the Clyxo icon on there on it left me another space and now I got another whole new another set to action. I got six spaces up there social media icons were taking up before, right? Just useless space that maybe somebody would find me on Twitter now they can do that all in one spot. So it’s a hundred percent free.
I’ve got a different utilization model than most people would imagine just go to C L Y X O dot com, watch the video, sign up. It takes less than ninety seconds to set your whole entire account up and like I said it’s free. And use it your email when you come on Podcast like this. Somebody ask you where you at just say, “Hey, I’m on clyxo.com/closer and then they can connect with you whenever the hell from there.
Dave: That is way sweet, bud! I love that. I love the fact again. You’re always finding areas that where people need something and solve on that need. So that is a need that all of us have.
Coz you’re right we’ve got six, seven, eight different ways that people can contact us and find us but you’re right not all are the same so sometimes it changes from one venue to the other. That’s very very cool.
Ryan: Yup.
Dave: Ryan, again, you are absolutely the man when it comes to getting stuff done and a guy who I just love getting to know better. Anything [00:32:00] else before we got things wrap, bud?
Ryan: No man. I am just excited to come on here and Russell actually just sent me a message maybe twenty minutes before we got on here and I was explaining to him that I am about to probably set some records on Click Funnels, man.
I’ve got Ben Settle and almost done with the copy on one of my programs and we’ve created a Funnel that you guys are going to be envois of when you see and you’ll be like, “Holy shit”. You’ll see because coz you’ll be on the software.
So you’ll see the number in the back ground when we launch this bad boy but we’re about to make you guys proud. Like, we… I see the Click Funnels platform and I was the lead pages guy coz I’ve got to keep it really simple and I still use their stuff from my real estate people coz they’re simple too but for my personal stuff like I use Click Funnels.
We’re moving everything from Kunjabi over there. I absolutely love the platform and the funnels that we set up, dude. I’m excited, man. Just like I said I just was on the phone with our boxer, with Russell before going on here and they’re not gonna believe this like I paid the best people to put the best of this together and it’s just gonna be amazing when we finally launch it.
So I’m excited to be doing business with you guys and then shoot if hopefully things go according to the way I want be leading the way I’m breaking records back there. I know I probably have to chase whatever records Russell has but I am willing to try that.
Dave: (laughs) You’re very competitive and I love that. Do you have any idea on when these things gonna launch? Coz I know people will be funnel hacking it and find out about it as well. Ryan: Yeah, probably on the next man. We’re like almost done. I m just waiting for Ben to shoot me on the final words then copy and paste then we’re ready.
Dave: Oh Dude that’s awesome! We’ll we have a large affiliate program but we’d love to as you already know that percent anything you sell on Click Funnels and one of the main things we’ve got going is our car contest.
So with a hundred members you get a five hundred bucks toward the list of purchase of your dream car and two hundred members you get a thousand bucks. So you’ll be setting that thousand dollars pretty soon. I hope to see you.
Ryan: Dude, I had no idea you guys have an affiliate program. Nobody ever told me that. I would have been pushing this stuff the whole time. Like I had no idea, I need to sign up with [00:34:00] that I guess.
Dave: You know what as a Click Funnels member you are an automatic member. I will… After this, I will personally send you the affiliate information. But yeah, you get forty percent and that’s recurring so as long as they keep paying it and you keep getting paid.
Ryan: Yeah dude, I’ve got a few checks like that coming every month. I’ve done another one especially on the product I love, right? So…
Dave: That sounds great. And again, we’d love to see you in the dream car. Whatever your dream car might be, Ryan we’d love to be the one paying that payment for you.
Ryan: I have to buy expensive motorcycle.
Dave: Hahahahahaha…That sounds fantastic so what kinds of motorcycle do you like?
Ryan: Man, right know I got a Striker and it’s like fully decked out. I love it, man. I got a 2014 but my neighbor man he has like couple of Lamborghinis, couple Ferraris, couple McLaren like six or seven cars, right? And he has this eighty thousand Harley, dude.
I’m not even really a Harley guy but this thing man… It’s a pretty sick bike
Dave: Well, then. We will look forward to you being our first dream car or dream motorcycle affiliate that we are paying for. I can’t wait for that one, bud.
Ryan: I can get a hundred people really quick so there’s no problem there.
Dave: Fantastic! I will literally send it to you as soon as we’re done here.
Ryan: Awesome!
Dave: Ryan, again thank you so very much. I absolutely love spending time with you. I can’t wait to see you at our Funnel Hacking live event and that will be here literally within a month. So we’ll see you really soon and again thank you so very much.
Ryan: Will see you in San Diego, man.
Dave: Alright bud. And again, for those of you who want to find out about our affiliate program you can go to whatyourdreamcar.com or if you want you can just go to www.clickfunnelsradio.com/dreamcar.
Again, www.clickfunnelsradio.com/dreamcar and we’ll get you guys all set up. Again, Ryan thanks a million, bud. You’re awesome!
Ryan: Hey man, thanks for having me on dude!
