Dear Parent/Guardian,

My name is Coach Kelsa Walker. I will be your student’s teacher for the 2016-2017 school year. I am excited about this year and I have many things planned for your student. I would like to develop a line of communication with each of you. Your child has filled out an information sheet with me that includes your contact information. I will contact you all throughout the year as much as possible to keep you updated on your child’s progress. My preferred method of communication is email, but I also use phone calls regularly. Please feel free to contact me at the school or by email at any time.

We will be using Canvas, an online learning platform, for this class. All announcements, forms, handouts, assignments, quizzes, and tests will be available on Canvas 24 hours a day. You may create a parent account on canvas (this will allow you to see what your child is doing in my class) by going to rankin.instructure.com and creating a parent account.
