Dear Parents and Carers,

The weeks just seem to be getting busier as we head towards the end of the academic year! This week we have all enjoyed the excitement of having a circus on our school field. The circus performers have run workshops for every class, so our children are now trained jugglers and plate spinners - skills we could all benefit from! If you haven't got your tickets yet, remember you can just turn up and pay at the door 3pm Sat, 2pm Sun). Our Owls class also enjoyed watching the dress rehearsal for Peter Pan at Reepham High - they highly recommend it.

Thank you to everyone who came to view our annual art exhibition. Art is such an important part of our school life at RPS, and I am always blown away by the quality and talent that shines through in the children's work.

The annual Fete proved to be another amazing success. Thank you to everyone involved, especially the Friends Committee. The Friends will keep you informed about how the money is spent on your children.

New Appointment I am delighted to let you know that our Yr 5 class next year will be taught by Jennie Sage and Caroline Henry. Mrs Sage has been working with us as our SENDCo since February, and will continue to hold this role alongside teaching the class for 3 days a week. Mrs Henry, as well as being a fantastic Chair of our Friends Committee for several years, has taught in school as a supply teacher on many occasions. We are confident they will both be a real asset to our teaching team. Please join us in welcoming them.

Catherine Ogle Head of School [email protected] School Uniform We are a uniformed school and would be grateful if all parents could ensure that children are wearing the correct uniform.

Red sweatshirt, jumper, cardigan or fleece (plain or with the school logo), white or red polo shirt (plain or with the school logo), grey or black trousers, shorts, skirt or pinafore dress. Summer dress (checked red and white). Tights or leggings in black, grey, red or white may be worn. Please no patterned tops or jeans. Year 6 may wear black sweatshirts or jumpers. Sensible black or red shoes, no trainers. Sandals in black, red or white in the summer, no trainers please (these can be worn for PE or as spare shoes on the field at break times). PE: White or house team colour t-shirt (not vest top) and dark shorts. Plimsolls or trainers for outside wear. No jewellery (newly pierced ears can be covered with micropore tape but must be removed for swimming).

All clothing should be clearly labelled. Sunhats are advised for hot weather.

Friends News We would like to say a big thank you to everyone who came along to the fete on Saturday, an even bigger thank you to all the staff, parents, grandparents, friends and all the helpers setting up, clearing away and running the stalls. We have had lots of lovely positive feedback and we are pleased to say that this year we were able to raise £3000 for the school and the children!

Messy Church for children, their families & carers Thursday 14th July, 3.30pm to 5.45pm, in St Michael’s Drinks & biscuits from 3.30pm, leading into crafts and activities until 4.35pm, followed by a short lively celebration and a meal. No charge but donations welcome All Welcome
