New Business - 2014 conference in AL, those who attended enjoyed it. Those who attended were Stacey, Ayman, Rick, Ed, Chris, Shawna, Trent • 2017 NACAA AM/PIC –Utah looking for assistance in hosting this meeting, which is in the western region. Previous one in Portland we sponsored a breakfast. Is that something we would be interested in doing for the Utah meeting? How many are thinking of going? Cost of the breakfast sponsored was around $5,000-8,000 (from what memory says). Didn’t make breakfast and got snack foods. We don’t have to do breakfast again, need to decide how much we would want to help. We like to get some feedback from Utah to see what they are looking for, what they need help with. AZ will probably be asked in the future to hold the meetings, we need to be thinking of that and working on our connections with other Western states for help.

• Hosting of Western Region NACAA PIC in Yuma Kurt and Stacey have been talking of holding a western region meeting. This year is in Idaho and then next year is Alaska. Would like to hold it after that in 2016 in Yuma. Interest from the group? This meeting is not very large so wouldn’t be a huge undertaking; getting tours together, meeting rooms, etc. Everyone is in favor of doing that. • Review of current Leadership/Membership (listed below) Officers President–Kelly Young President – Elect- Ayman Mostafa Vice President– Shawna Loper Secretary–Ed Martin

Results of election – Installation of new officers- Performed by Rick Gibson for new officers in attendance; Stacey, Ayman, Kelly, and Shawna. Current Membership- we are getting low in number, some regions look especially low, would like to see new approaches for member recruitment. When we have meetings, we combine more of a social thing with it like we use to (BBQ, trip). Make payments for some of those events, along with the membership dues. Part of it is due to not having as many people in the system anymore. Should have the region chairs work on reaching out to those in our area and encourage them to join. Stacey will be sending an email to Patti B to send to all extension to encourage them to join. If any knows of someone who should be a member, let Stacey know and she will send them information. Any staff people that are missing that could benefit from joining. Sent around a sheet for people to write some names down to encourage them to join. Kelly will send an email to them.
