A RESOLUTION adjourning the House of Representatives in loving memory and honor of the Reverend Dale Niswonger. With deepest respect and admiration, we pay homage and tribute to the Reverend Dale Niswonger, and we pause in silent reverence for his soul. WHEREAS, the Reverend Dale Niswonger was born on November 17, 1953, a native of St. Louis, Missouri, and he traversed these earthly bounds on February 25, 2002, to be with his Savior and Redeemer, Jesus Christ; and WHEREAS, the Reverend Dale Niswonger was the loving son of the late Chester and Thelma J. "Pat" Niswonger; he was the devoted husband of Mary Bell Niswonger, and the proud father of a loving daughter, Mendy Niswonger, of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; and he also leaves behind four loving brothers, Tomm Leggett, Dan Niswonger, Marty Niswonger, and Steve Niswonger, all of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; and WHEREAS, the Reverend Dale Niswonger graduated from Cape Central and Southeast Missouri State University with honors, after which time he taught junior high and high school in Missouri; he was ordained into the ministry in 1974, and he was the pastor of several churches, including Calvary Baptist Church, Forks of Elkhorn Baptist Church, Parksville Baptist Church, Pleasureville Baptist Church, and Sawisa Baptist Church, and during his ministry, he held 187 revivals in Missouri, Illinois, Kentucky, and
Arkansas, and at the time of his passing, he was a member of Hindman First Baptist Church; and WHEREAS, the Reverend Dale Niswonger will be remembered as an active and involved citizen in the Franklin County community where he was director of the Franklin County Senior Citizens Center, he was employed by the State Department of Education as a program consultant, he performed numerous motivational speeches for districts across Kentucky, and he authored "Making a Difference: The Darla Pannier Story"; and WHEREAS, a life spent worthily should be measured by deeds, not years, and

through his devout Christian beliefs, his compassion, enthusiasm, and genuine love and concern for his fellowman, the Reverend Dale Niswonger is worthy of the highest commendation; and WHEREAS, the passing of the Reverend Dale Niswonger has left a void that cannot be filled, and he is mourned across the length and breadth of the Commonwealth; NOW, THEREFORE, Be it resolved by the House of Representatives of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Kentucky: Section 1. The House of Representatives does hereby express its profound sense of sorrow upon the passing of the Reverend Dale Niswonger, and extends to his family and many friends its most heartfelt sympathy. Section 2. When the House of Representatives adjourns this day, it does so in loving memory and honor of the Reverend Dale Niswonger. Section 3. The Clerk of the House of Representatives is hereby directed to transmit a copy of this Resolution to Mrs. Mary Bell Niswonger, 754 Isaac Shelby Circle West, Frankfort, Kentucky 40601.
