Principal’s Update: Mrs. Geis

 Increased communication for dismissal helped run things smoother

 Tornado update- only minimal damage from wind and water in the front area and roof

 NO water in the school

 2 portable classrooms had some water. Replaced tiles and subfloors

 Facility department felt it was in the best interest to replace the mulch on the playground  SOE wants to help those affected by Harvey and have available resources to help

 50 book challenge to help schools in need

 Current numbers- 1, 015

 Parent night moved to 10-3

 Picture Day- 10-3

 GT referrals- 10-3

 New Building Update- finalized furniture and was ordered. Installation of the cabinets taking place.

 Had some vandalism to the portable. Taken care of.

 A motion was made to approve the PTO board meeting minutes from July 27th. It was approved by Kim Lee and second by Danielle Hooks.

Treasurer: Crystal Iscovitz

 Motion to approve Budget by Sarah Reckers

 Budget amount is the correct amount

1st Vice President: Chanda Schneider

 Audit is done

 Waiting till 1st of October to send out sponsor letters

 Sponsor letters due mid December 2nd Vice President: Robin Strickland, Amy Zoeller, Susan Sprague

 Letters were sent out for Super Express

 Spirit Wear will be ordered hopefully by the next week

 SUG will be sent for shirt distribution

Educational Enrichment: Misty Choice, Crystal O’Brien, ConnieCompagnino

 For math/science ad reading/writing night about $5500/$6000

 Feels there is a better way to spend that money

o Assembly type field trips

o Traveling field trips

o Incorporate into lessons after STAAR/end of year

o Looking for other ideas…

 Teachers have letters for their requests

 Connie Compagini made a motion for $1,848 for purchase of Math Program for 1st grade by EE-Principals Choice Grant, on September 27, 2017. Approved by the board members.

VIPS: Sarah Reckers, Mary Margaret Purdy, April Jacob

 Moms are still signing up on the volunteer link

 Deadline the next Friday to complete the volunteer form

 Add the link to the teachers weekly newsletters

 JA mtg finalized dates, separated by grades

 A spring and fall JA

 Laminating training will be held once the volunteer forms are completed

 Ordering supplies

 Colored Printer is broken

Staff Appreciation: Kim Lee, Stephanie Reilly, Tracie Bates  1st birthday baker breakfast hosted by the board on Tuesday September 19th

 Teacher receive a $10 gift cards for their Birthday

 Next lunch bunch is October 17th

 Looking for smaller locations to serve since the extended day room is occupied

 Movie Night November 10th

 Don’t forget box tops

o Get cans and donate them

 Holiday Party December 20th@ 2:30

 Polar Express December 21st, early release
