Segment 2 Study Guide

Congratulations on being ready to take the semester 2 exam! I am proud of all of your hard work so far.

***PLEASE SUBMIT ALL WORK BEFORE ATTEMPTING THE EXAM. NO WORK WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER THE EXAM IS ACCESSED.***

Here are a few tips on how to get ready for the exam:

1. Watch the segment exam review. Go to the Announcement page, click on the black box that says “Help” on the right hand side. Look through the Segment Two Exam Study Guide. This is a Power Point presentation that will greatly help you.

2. Review and study key terms and ideas in each module. Words that are in bold are important for you to know.

3. Reread the Review Lesson in every module.

4. Before taking the exam, find a quiet place and make sure you have enough time to complete it.

• Regular course students will submit 06.11 Segment Two Exam Part One and 06.11 Segment Two Exam Part Two.

• Advanced course students will submit 06.11 Segment Two Advanced Exam Part One and 06.11 Segment Two Advanced Exam Part Two.

Beware of the following situations that could cause your exam to close or force exit before you are complete:

• If you are not working constantly in the exam, your ISP (Internet Service Provider) may kick you off line. You cannot open the exam and then walk away from the computer.

• You cannot minimize your browser during the exam.

• You cannot move around in other parts of the course while the exam is open.

• You cannot work in more than one browser at a time while in the exam. • You cannot enter the exam, print it and then cancel out. Canceling out still counts as one submission and sends the exam without any answers.

Good luck!

Mrs. Holmes

TERRIFIC TIPS from our Principal for Taking EXAMS

Technical Practices to Ensure Testing Will Go Smoothly

Prior to testing, students should -  Clear all cookies through the Tools menu options.  Use Internet Explorer for your Browser.  Be plugged in directly instead of wirelessly when possible.  Avoid using public internet providers. These shared networks are not reliable and often time you out.  On home networks, make sure other users aren’t draining the internet too by gaming or video streaming on another computer.

During testing, students should -  Not open additional browsers. Doing so will cause them to be kicked out of tests.  Not hit the back arrow.  Not hit the exit symbol.  Monitor their time.
