How to Sign Up a New Member

From MOAA website 26 April 2010

How do you get credit for each of the new members you sign up?

1. Sign up new members from the pool of currently serving active duty, National Guard and Reserve members, lapsed MOAA members, non-members, and chapter members who do not belong to national MOAA. 2. Use the enclosed membership enrollment forms (one for each new member) and fill them out completely. 3. Enroll currently serving active duty, National Guard and drilling Reserve members using the “Give Me 10!” one-year Free Membership Enrollment Form (yellow). 4. Retired and former officers and surviving spouses of officers (auxiliary members) must be paid members under Give Me 10!, and their checks for $28, or credit-card instructions, must accompany their enrollment forms. Use the “Give Me 10!” Paid Membership Enrollment Form (green). 5. When mailing in your enrollment forms we encourage you to enclose more than one form in each envelope, but each new paid member enrollment must be accompanied by an individual payment. If you decide to mail the enrollment forms to prospective members, be sure you include your chapter’s name and the “recruiter’s” name before sending them out! Also, these forms should be returned to the chapter, and the chapter then mails the forms to national MOAA. This is important to retain control and accountability. 6. This year chapters will have the ability to customize both membership enrollment forms using changeable .pdf documents, which can be found under Recruiting Materials at www.moaa.org/giveme10. 7. Mail Paid Enrollment Forms to: MOAA, P. O. Box 1488, Merrifield, VA 22116-1488

Mail Free Membership Forms to: MOAA, 201 N. Washington St., Alexandria, VA 22314-2539

We encourage use of the self addressed envelopes included in your Give Me 10! Recruiting Kits. That way no postage is necessary.
