The Poughkeepsie Alumni Foundation of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) tax- exempt, non-partisan organization committed to improving the quality of lives of minority male youths, seniors, and families in need residing in the Hudson Valley area and Danbury, CT by providing financial support for social programs, scholastic achievement, and health awareness to all. Members of the Foundation and the Poughkeepsie Alumni Chapter, Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. are volunteers. We rely on individual, corporate, and foundation support to remain a vital and relevant part of the community we serve. Together we will continue to make a difference in the lives of youths and our community.

Proceeds from this highly anticipated event will benefit our scholarship and community fund dedicated to expanding opportunity and reducing poverty across the Mid-Hudson and Danbury, CT areas through education, workforce development, cultural enrichment, and so much more.
Each year’s gala honors an extraordinary individual whose vision and work capture the true meaning of civic spirit — giving of himself/herself to help his/her neighbors and communities realize their full potential. This year we will present our 2013 Civic Spirit Leadership Award to three extraordinary individuals who champion high quality education, possess a long-standing commitment to philanthropy and building strong communities, and exemplify the qualities of devotion, compassion, integrity, inspiration, and above all caring.
