The Rotary Club is a leadership organization of local business, professional and civic leaders. Members meet regularly, get to know each other, form friendships and through that, get things done in their community. The mission is to bring together business and professional leaders to provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations, and help build goodwill and peace in the world. Rotary’s motto is “Service Above Self”.
A Rotary Club scholarship of $500.00 will be awarded to students who exemplify the goals and mission of Rotary Clubs around the world. Applicants must have a minimum 2.5 GPA in their high school or college studies and should demonstrate financial need in preparing for their next school year. A successful scholarship award recipient must emulate the culture and values of Rotary through volunteer work at his/her school or within the school’s service territory. Scholarship awards must support specific educational expenses.
