Nclude works with people with a learning disability to help them achieve their potential through education, life skills training and day opportunities. About the Role
We are looking for a friendly, reliable and enthusiastic individual to work with us in looking after our building in High Wycombe to ensure that the highest standards are maintained for the benefit of people with a learning disability, staff and visitors.
Accountable to Business Lead
Main tasks
Open building at 8.30am to ensure building is ready for the arrival of service users. This includes opening blinds, turning on the water, heaters and de humidifiers.
Answer the front door and welcome people and ensure they sign in and receive any parcels/post.
Ensure people sign out when leaving the building.
Liaise with taxi drivers to make sure people are dropped off safely. Nclude-UK Ltd Community Interest Company Answer the telephone and take and pass on messages as appropriate.
Keeping the building clean at all times. This includes cleaning toilets, bathrooms, kitchens and general communal areas, emptying bins, cleaning cookers and microwaves and hoovering on a daily basis.
Ensure rubbish is regularly cleared from building. Liaise with rubbish collection company as and when required.
Ensure areas in front and to the back of the building are swept regularly and kept clean.
Oversee parking arrangements at front and rear of building. Maintain a good relationship with garages at the rear of the building to ease parking arrangement.
Replenish cleaning products regularly to ensure stocks do not run low (liaise with Project Worker to purchase goods locally with funds from petty cash).
Ensure stationery and general supplies are kept well stocked with Project Worker to place orders with the Amersham office to maintain stock levels.
Liaise with Business Manager and Project Worker re organising maintenance and repairs of building.
Handover to Project Worker at 12.30pm
The above is not an exhaustive list of duties and you will be expected to perform different tasks as necessitated by your role within the organisation and the overall business objectives of Nclude.
