Open The meeting was called to order at 10:15 a.m. by Pam Praeger, Chairperson with prayer by Sheryl.

Introduction Pam introduced Rebecca Madany as a new member of COM.

Docket MSC to approve the docket.

Devotions Devotions were done by Terry. John will do the June devotions.

Minutes MSC to approve the April 12, 2016 minutes.

Liaison Reports Larry (Moscow); Tom (Kamiah Second, Northfork, Spalding, Kamiah First), **Reports are to be done after the liaison has met face to face with the session and/or pastor. Rebecca will be assigned Coeur d’Alene and Opportunity.

June – Norman (Clarkston), Kevin (Spokane First, Manito), Larry B (Lidgerwood), Kathy (Emmanuel, Northwood), Don (OPC), John (Colbert), Steve (St. Maries), Terry (Whitworth)

Credentialing Team  Boundary training – the date of October 6 was proposed from 9 to 3 for the training. Joyce will check and see if it can be held at Millwood Church. We can invite ecumenical churches. Terry said it will be recorded and available on an online secure place. Sheryl said we should have signed waivers for the recording.  Terms of call were received for Matt and Alyssa Bell and Shadle Park Presbyterian Church. Questions regarding Board of Pensions and amount for housing will be addressed and then brought back to the next COM meeting.  MSC to recommend to Presbytery for T.E. Betsy Wynne to be called to the position of Associate Pastor at Spokane First Presbyterian Church. Rationale: When First Presbyterian Church Spokane was searching for a congregational care director four years ago, it was an open search, meaning that we were not necessarily seeking an ordained pastor to fill the position. Betsy Wynne applied for that position (thanks be to God!) and we hired her. Betsy is an ordained teaching elder in the Presbyterian Church USA. However because we did not conduct a pastor search when we hired her, with a formal call and a nominating committee, she assumed the title “Temporary Stated Supply.” As a means of recognizing both the pastoral nature of her work and our mutual desire to install her as an associate pastor, a limited search was conducted for the position of Associate Pastor for Congregational Care and Betsy was the unanimous choice of the APNC.  MSC to approve the terms of call for T.E. Betsy Wynne as Associate Pastor at Spokane First Presbyterian Church pending Presbytery approval of the call: 27 hrs/wk starting May 16, 2016; Salary $15,318; Housing $24,720; SECA $3,063; Professional $1,500; CE $1,000; travel reimbursed as needed; CE 2 wks/yr; Vacation 2.5 days/mo.

Transition Team  MSC to approve the MIF for Washtucna Presbyterian Church with a couple of recommendations. These recommendations will be given to the PNC by Bonnie Reeves, liaison.  MSC to approve the interim job description for Bethany Presbyterian Church.  MSC to appoint R.E. John Yoder, Moderator of Session at Bethany Presbyterian Church starting July 9 until an interim is in place.

Reconciliation Team Latah Valley is using COR to work through some issues.

Stated Clerk Report No report.

Executive Presbytery Report Sheryl talked about a crisis happening in the Bovill community and asked for prayers for CRE Erica Waterman, the community and all involved.

Search Process for PNC It was decided to postpone this discussion until the next COM meeting.
